On three successive hits, He took a helmet to helmet, a forearm to the head and a knee to the head....then got called for a low block on the pick six. unfuckingbelievable.
I don't need a statistic to tell me that was a shitty fucking read and I don't give a shit what the score was at the time. Just like I don't care if his TD throw came in garbage time it was a nice throw and read. He remains a turnover machine until proven otherwise.
I don't care what happened w/ the game already over. I will leave that to people who don't understand the game.
He's been called for that exact same penalty almost a half dozen times now. I don't think I've ever seen anyone else called for that, with the huge exception of Hasselback in the SB. Given the frequency with which he throws interceptions, you have to wonder what he's thinking repeatedly going low on the lead blocker like that. I think he's just kind of a dummy.
"Mark just needs offensive weapons, not Chaz Schilens" + McCoy + Sproles + Maclin + Cooper + Matthews "Er, he was let down by [Special Teams/His Defense/Helmet-to-helmet contact/Delete where applicable]
he's 2-1, right? you expected him to go undefeated? when he had talent here he helped us reach AFC title games. do we forget that? I just hate Jet fans, we have the worst fanbase and deserve to have a losing team.
Going low is a self-preservation move. It gets your body out of the path of most of the force a moving player has built up leading into the collision. When we played tackle football on the grass as twelve year olds with no gear we used to hate kids who did this because they'd drop us like a rock and we'd get much the worse of the exchange (using we because I'm sure more people than just my friends and I had this experience as kids, not in the Gollum sense...) It's actually a smart move from the point of self-preservation. Unless you get unlucky and catch a knee to the head.
Wrong, I just hate these fucking threads. The fanboys were out last week, the darksiders this week. He's inconsistent in his QB play which is why he'll never make anything of his NFL career and why these threads will run and run.
Mark Sanchez threads FTW. I knew we'd be dealing with this crap for the rest of his career. The annoying thing is we'll be dealing with it even if he completely blows out due to a few of the posters involved. It'll just change to "Sanchez could never catch a break."
He played decent against 2 bad D's and played bad against an oppurtunistic D in Green Bay. Not super unlike how he played here. The one issue right now with Mark is that he is auditioning for a starter position next season. He's more than likely going to be replaced when Foles get healthy so he needs to get some good plays in now. The fact is, he has more turnovers than games played right now. He had 4(?) last night I believe. You cant win that way.
Sanchez said something in his pre-game interview yesterday that I found interesting....he said He used to be the first one out of the complex after the game, win or lose. If you saw the look in his eyes yesterday, especially after the fumble, it was the doey eyed look you saw so often, same body language. On the snap over his head it appears he started to do the right thing and drop to cover the ball and then he 'hitches' and appears to change his mind and start to try to scoop the ball and as a result of the indecision just whiffs...I'm guessing off of the way his body reacted when he was initially going for the fumble.... either way, It said a lot about the Eagles confidence in him when they had him handing the ball off down by 4 scores in the 3rd.
Oh, trust me, I fully understand the physics involved. The smart move from the point of self preservation is to lackadaisically meander away from any contact at all if you're the QB, not do something you should know is going to draw a personal foul penalty.
The first sack he took wasn't illegal and he played like shit the rest of the game. Dude is damaged goods and can easily be rattled (which is the sole reason why he needed to leave the Jets). He becomes that turnover machine we all know and love. That you cannot deny Junc.
let me know when you have enough knowledge to evaluate. he has already made something of his NFL career and will continue to do so. This game is about winning and he has one losing season in his entire career. both were illegal shots to the head. if it was our D flags would have been thrown. the TOs happened in garbage time.
