Interestingly enough Sanchez completed a much higher percentages of his deep passes than the short ones. I think he completed something like just under 70% of passes that were 10 yards or more and under 50% when 10 yards or less.

That was usually what he was good with here too. But he's always had trouble throwing it to the outside. Thats gonna limit him.

From what I remember he was great with play action though.

IDK I just think he's gonna be average from here on out.

Average is still a far cry from the worst QB in the league that will likely never start again. If he's average, the Eagles should be very happy with their investment.

    The canonization is premature.

Very true. He's in a good situation. There arent many other offenses in the league that can make a backup look as good.

Even then he's not a good QB. His ceiling is gambling game manager at this point. He's not accurate enough to be a good QB.

The Kelly upgrade is the key to that deal:) Sanchez would find himself on the bench again in short order.

Thank God no one's asking you! You've obviously smoked too much weed.

Dumping Sanchez was not a huge mistake. There's no way Jets fans would have accepted him, and probably no way he could have resuscitated his career in NY or with the current CS. The idea of bringing back former players or coaches is just plain stupid. Unbelievable!

The fact this is even a thread is just sad. Do people forget how bad this guy was here? He was horrible flat out horrible. It was time to move on for both sides. I'm very happy we no longer have to deal with being let down by him every game and I'm sure he's estatic he no longer has to deal with horrible OC's and division 4 receivers. Honestly, if his contract wasn't so horrible I could understand keeping him a year or two but Tanny destroyed him. I hope he goes on to have a great career but there's no way in hell that would ever be back here. Draft someone, find someone else through FA, trade for someone, bring back Joe Namath whatever it is let's debate realistic.

This is the equivalent of asking whether or not you should un bury the dog shit you buried in your backyard. You could, but why would you?

His playing days here where he regressed to the point that he looked like a rookie QB in 2012.

I didn't like anything about this city.
In the winter it's the most depressing place .
The food in the restaurants is very fattening and the portions huge for no reason .
The outlet there doesn't have quality stuff , the view of the falls is ugly from this side.
It's better to go to Niagara on the Canadian side , enjoy the beautiful view .
The city is much nicer and you can also get to visit the amazing winery's !

Of course I would and any sane Jet fan would but it's not happening. I don't see him leaving Philly and if he does some other team will overpay plus why would he want to come back here after what the fans, media and team did to him?

If you watched the game and thought any drops were because of inaccuracy, you don't know what you were watching.

Not all incompletions are miscommunications. Some are just straight up bad throws. I never said he was perfect, but no QB is.

332 yards over 37 attempts comes out to 8.97 YPA. For reference, the highest in the NFL right now is Aaron Rodgers at 8.69. So yeah, that's a pretty shitty argument.

I think Chip Kelly knows just a bit more about what he's doing than you do. If he decides to throw it less, so be it. If he doesn't, it will be because the player under center is fully capable of handling it.

Carolina has been bad in Pass D. Your point is? Sanchez still went out there and dominated as a good QB should do against a bad defense. Also, te run game was non-existent so they basically knew the pass was coming.

To be clear, I don't want Sanchez back. Also, I don't think he wants to be back. It doesn't change that I believe he is playing and will play well for the Eagles the rest of the way.

The fans and the media chased him out. No way (even if he proves himself) he comes back to this circus.
We just have to move forward.
