Not gonna get into all this back and forth.
All I know is, it sure did hurt watching him do the flying jet celebration after he threw those TD passes. Definitely took me back to the good times we had with Mark.

He's pretty easy to root for to be honest. He's always been a good person and teammate while he was a Jet. I supported him longer than most, but was happy to see him go. He was never going to reach his full potential with us, and at least now he has that opportunity.

I can see why people are bitter, but even if he were still on the team, I dont think he would be much different with us than he has been in the past with us. He is in an excellent place right now. He is playing under a great offensive coach, with great talent, and a hall of fame running back. He looks comfortable back there, more comfortable than he looked with the Jets, in general.

I think those two would have performed similarly here

You really are trying much too hard.....and what's worse is that your argument is horrible....

    How's this for an excuse

332 yards and 2 TD's (should've been 3, but Celek went down at the half yard line.

There's nothing wrong with rooting for the guy to do well.

Regardless of whether you loved or hated Sanchez - it was time for him to move on, he was never going to be successful here moving forward with the butt fumble and all the other shit that transpired. Very similar to Rex at this point whether you love him or hate him it is time to move on - his ship has sailed and he will never regain the glory of the first 2 years here.

That is not to say that either cannot have success elsewhere. Sometimes it is just the situation you are in. Sanchez has NFL talent, was poorly coached and developed and had very little weapons to work with. Add to that some immaturity and we have the result of the last couple of seasons he played with the Jets. He is never going to be Brady or Manning, but under the right circumstances he can be a serviceable QB - this just might be that situation. Last night for the first time in his career her threw for 300 yards, multiple TD's and Zero INT's.

I wanted Sanchez gone (and was never really ever a huge supporter of his) as I realized it wasn't going to happen here, but that doesn't mean I need to hate on him and root for him to fail or that it is even a knock on the F.O for letting him go.

    Luck is better than Manning?

I would have a lot more respect for Mark, if he had punched Rex in the face for putting him in a no win situation his last 2 years here. The kid had potential, too bad he didn't have any help developing it.

Luck + the cap savings = Yes.

Not what was stated, though. What was said was you don't get rid if a player unless you have a better player not that it creates a more efficient cap situation.

health and age played a major role in that decision and Luck may be better than Manning, we know Manning is a choker in January- TBD for Luck.

Fair enough. I think you could argue, a 22 year old Luck is better than a 36 year old Manning coming off shoulder surgery that could have ended his career...+ the cap savings. As a QB, manning is better, but for the Colts franchise, Luck is better.

Man, that was nice watching Mark shine on National TV last night. However, I did not like all of the Jets insults from National Media. Ridiculous.

I've always agreed with this idea that both sides simply needed to move on. A change of scenery is sometimes what players need and much of the fan base represented at the stadium and in the media wanted him gone. He's never had a strong enough personality to play the defy the odds me vs New York & the New York City media market.

I really don't think he would've been successful here and I think we would've thrown himself out of the league if he stayed with this team which had zero confidence in him to the point where they brought Tebow in to supplement him.

No he wouldn't have been doing this on the Jets. The difference between Rex/our stooge offensive coordinators and Chip Kelly is like the difference between community college and Harvard.

Hey, you know me. I have been 100% behind Mark for years and completely against how the Jets have been treated him. I just don't see how big name reporters can take jabs at the Jets. Seems unprofessional to me. They don't do it to other teams. I agree though, Woody, Rex and Idzik brought it on themselves.

Mark played a real nice game, happy for him.

Of course at some point someone will say:

    Sanchez's stats from last night:

17 incompletions (46% incompletion percentage), 1 INT (wrongfully negated), 2 needless TDs, 200 yards of YAC (attributed solely to Receivers), 7 drives leading to punts, had to settle for a FG, carried to a win by a superior team stocked with offensive talent, a great running game, an offensive genius in a QB friendly system against an inferior opponent with a shitty pass defense.

    Typical Sanchez.

Yep. You just don't see any Raiders jokes or Jaguars jokes, Titans, Vikings, Redskins, etc. There are many loser teams. I guess the Jets are just the easiest and most fun to poke at.
