Best part about seeing The Hobbit 2 was seeing the trailer of the next Nolan movie...Who I consider my favorite director is the business. What can I say a film about time travel and space with an awesome group of actors. It is my must see movie of next year, I can't wait. Not much is given away in the teaser, but it still hypes me up. Synopsis: A group of explorers make use of a newly discovered wormhole to surpass the limitations on human space travel and conquer the vast distances involved in an interstellar voyage. Cast Matthew McConaughey Anne Hathaway Jessica Chastain Bill Irwin Ellen Burstyn Michael Caine Matt Damon Casey Affleck Topher Grace John Lithgow David Gyasi Wes Bentley Mackenzie Foy David Oyelowo Elyes Gabel
Is it neccessary to see the first hobbit before seeing the one that is out right now ? I would like to take my kid but we did not see the first one,,,,,will the movie make sense to us or will we be lost ? Let me know guys thanx
Well, it is one story told through 3 films, so you really should watch the first one first. However, if you go in knowing its a movie about dwarves on a journey to reclaim their homeland, I think it will still make sense. Pretty straight forward.
Not completely necessary but I would watch it for the fact that it is one big story told in 3 parts. They introduce these dwaves and there are characters that are shown in the first film that dont exist in the book and roll over into the second film. I say stream it online and watch with your kid before you go see it. No need to buy the first film
One of the movies I am most excited about in 2014. 2013 was an absolutely putrid year for movies (especially big budget movies). Between this and Godzilla I am cautiously optimistic.
Ok, the movie has me interested and it looks cool, but from the trailer all I can tell is that they go out in space and look at stuff. Is there anything more to the plot than that? We need to save Earth, I have to leave my family for the greater good, I look at some really cool planets with Anne Hatheway, I maybe come home after succeeding/failing at this mission??
Yes. There is much more. Very big film. Plenty of twists and turns. If you like his other movies, you should like this, although it is different from the others.
Eyedea ftw haha. I can't help but think about that every time i hear about this movie. The Jim Carrey bit was funny too.
Good to know. I probably won't get to go see it in the theater, but that is mostly because I never go to the movies anymore.
I saw it in normal 35MM but I think I might go to an IMAX before it leaves theaters because the visuals were so great. Funny, I had not been to the movies since Guardians of the Galaxy. Not much worth seeing these days but hopefully some good films are coming out now for the holidays.
Should be very trippy to watch at an IMAX, I watched Gravity high as balls and that was an experience at the IMAX
TDK, I am glad you liked it...I am going tomorrow. 3 hour film of awesomeness... I may have to pull a IMAX experience for this
What a beautiful, thought provoking film...The film is a overwhelming experience, most people were exhausted by the end. I had to see it twice and it was so much better the second time. One thing I noticed, that score is so fucking elite
Some people I talk to, dont like it...But its all theory and all plausible enough to these scientists that Nolan talked with...Literally had Kip Thorne on set the whole time. Very unique film
