Most coaches would have lost their team at 1-8, but not Rex - the players still love and respect him, and it shows in the effort they are still giving each week. This team is fighting hard for Rex, and if they can finish strong it might save Rex and Idzik's job.
This beatdown of the Steelers today really sends a message, and pretty much tells us all we need to know about how this team feels about Rex!!!
They actually 'did' play hard against the Bills and Chiefs, it's just gonna be a bad game when you're -6 in turnovers, or you're facing a vastly superior team on the road.
This team is 1-8; we have been through this scenario before. They lose and then come up with an emotional win and we have to hear how they still play for Rex. The man is a poor head coach, let's all just face that and move on. This team needs sweeping changes and this buffoon is one of the first that must go. How about Play for Rex and be 8-1. Why do the troops get fired up when the ship is sinking - maybe because they are saving their own ass as well. TIME TO MOVE ON
This is what everyone said last year and look where we are now. Don't let meaningless wins change what has already happened.
WHAT A GOAL LINE STAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! J - E - T -S JETS JETS JETS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Jets defenders still sacrificing their bodies, flying around for Rex, sticking their noses in there! And the crowd is into it too, apparently most of the Jets fans in the stadium are rooting for Rex as well! The haters have no comeback anymore!
we are not haters, you are just delusional. Go ahead and keep Rex, so you can make these same posts next year at this time- lololol
I'm not "delusional", you are shallow and short-sighted. You can't see past your nose, or past the current standings to properly analyze the team and its coaches.
The haters are also in the minority, as anyone who actually watched the game knows. The crowd was behind Rex and the Jets the whole way, cheering as if this was the AFC championship game! Nobody hoping we would lose and get a top draft pick, nobody hoping Rex gets fired. The vast majority of Jets fans are CLEARLY behind Rex! Haters can bury their heads in the sand and deny the facts all they want. (Some people seem to like being miserable)
Let's see how they play down the stretch. Jaiqwan Jarrett is actually looking like a free safety. If the Jets have a free safety they might be able to extend this.
what woul be nice is if they were also playing smart..... oh whoops, that's not exactly the strong suit. That's why this team is the worst in the NFL in the last 2 mins before halfs. Had the ball in scoring position, and nearly in scoring position just inside the 2 min mark twice today and got outscored 10-0.....typical of the entire season.
Hey, I'm just the "spokesman" for the Rex supporters. If I go, at least half of all Jets fans will have to go as well.
