This probably then means Bills/Jets(Or Jets/Bills) in the latter part of Thursday Night Football, only on NFL Network(Probably not good enough to be on CBS again lol) if they are still keeping the division rivalries theme.
This means the Jets(And Phins) will get an early BYE. Probably Week 6 if the Jets/Phins game is Oct 4, NFL always gives teams the BYE after their London trip.
So at least it's an away game, and we know it's probably week 4. Does anyone know what time it will be at yet?
1PM est. Seems like the Lions/Chiefs game(KC said that game will be nationally televised by FOX) will be the 9AM est game.
Finally they get the Jets over. As a London Based Jets fan I am really happy with todays announcements. But also very worried. I have been to the US twice to see the Jets and they got beat both times. With us currently being 1-8 and next season being very unsure. Im bound to extend my run to 3 But ill be there in my gear. Maybe we can get a collective of UK Jets fans together in a section.
Hopefully it'll be early enough in the season for me to be interested. Imagine if we were playing in London this weekend, would anyone give a shit?
Unlike lots of others, I'm happy it's not the 8:30am game if that is true. I work 3rd shift on weekends, so it's already hard enough getting up at 11:30am.
HA! I wouldn't be surprised if that's why the Dolphins signed off. Maybe we should see if we could switch this Sunday's game to London. Do you think the Steeler fans would be able to get to London? You can't drive there.
It would seem a bit odd to have 2 east coast match-ups and choose the one that isn't for an early time slot. I could see 2 of the 3 London games being early, maybe even all of them.
So it's a week 4 matchup which means we'll have a week 5 bye week. Kind of early, I prefer in the 8-10 week time frame.
we might only have 6 actual games where we're the proper away team. The AFC East and NFC East play one another as well, so that means we play the giants. last time that was a "home" game for the jets, this time it should be the giants, so one less trip to make.
Will that be set as a Christmas game again like is that a new York tradition or was it a once off last time?
Would not shock me if they made the Jets @ Giants the season opener for 1PM CBS. I do think ESPN/MNF would love to have that matchup though somewhere down the road. If there is one Jets game ESPN would want for MNF, it'd be that one. People will watch football regardless no matter if its between two NY/NJ teams and then that would be a well hyped up matchup locally.
Week 5 this year was on Oct 5(Oct 2 for TNF, Oct 6 for MNF). http://www.nfl.com/schedules/2014/REG5 Unless the schedule takes an unlikely move up in the month of September, looks like week 6 will be the BYE.
