A part of me thinks Woody is behind all of this. I just can't believe that people would be so foolish to spend their money on a guy who probably still lives in a hotel. Idzik was not here when this mess started. I don't see how he is everything that is wrong. We all make bad decisions everyday. It's a part of life. Where is the wiggle room for Idzik to acknowledge he made a mistake if he did and to learn from that? You can't continue to dispose of good people and expect to have success. Success comes with fucking up. We fuck up well, but we haven't done a good job in pointing out the true fuck-up of this organization. It always starts at the top. Middle tier people can never bring down an empire.
I got it. The "moronic" fans do not like Idzik's body of work and think that for the good of the Jets franchise that he should be replaced. This infers that "smart" fans like yourself believe in Idzik's blueprint and would like to ride out the Idzik/Rex/Geno Smith model for a few more years. Thanks for the compliment as it serves as one to be branded a "moron" when the caller of such is content with a clearly unacceptable status quo.
Yeah it would be refreshing to get more fans who actually care about the direcrtion of the franchise and strive for improvement and shed some of the fanbase that seem to relish in the role of forever waving pom poms for the "lovable losers". It is a different age in sports as it is much easier for fans that care to see and call out ineptness and not accept it when it so clearly manifests itself.
I don't have season tickets, so it is easy for me to say, I suppose, but I agree not showing up is a better way to show displeasure. I just don't know why the sign buying would upset Jet fans who are and should be unhappy with team management.
I posted that I liked this post, 101, but I do have a quibble with the blowing it up part. I think the team should play hard the rest of the way. Young players still need to develop, and the whole roster needs to be looked at for who should stay and who should go next off season. There's value in short to playing the remainder of the schedule. I suppose it is fair to add there are already players any halfway decent FO and CS would already know have to be gone, but other than Smith and probably Kyle Wilson there's probably not too many who are literally irredeemable under any conceivable scenario at this point. But I like you do not get the criticisms of Jet fans exercising their free speech to express displeasure with the way the team has been run.

if those folks cared they wouldn't waste money on banners and billboards. whether that happens or not is not going to influence the owner. all it does is make our franchise and fans look worse than we actually are. you can pretend you care but those folks that "cared" ran Sanchez out of town, ran Chad our of town, are going to run Rex and Idzik out of town. how does this help our franchise?

This site has a hard hard time seeing the shades of gray. It's not as black and white as most people here want it to be. Saying you don't think the guy should be fired right now doesn't mean you want him here for the next few years, and it certainly doesn't imply you want to ride it out with Geno.

I don't get the whole idea of posting here to impress others, or to try to, anyway. If the end result is you do that, fine. But this is always about comparing opinions, let the disagreements arise as they may, and if someone agrees with you and says so, that's fine, too, but it cannot be the primary purpose of posting here. Similiarly succumbing to hatred for another poster here is not only childish. It is emblematic of a dysfunctional personality. That would be junc and no doubt his allies.
