Pretentious ass jets fans spending money on banners that won't impact anything… *sigh* we're a sorry fan base. I'll never stop rooting for the jets as long as theres football, but man this teams fans are dumb… this is just one big waste of time, though it should be good for a laugh when JI is kept at GM by years end, banners be damned.

The banner cost 9.7 million dollars and ran shirtless out of a practice once. Then we realized that the banner wanted to play "regular quarterback" and dumped it's ass. Now the banner is sitting behind an SEC Network broadcast desk. And it's a good thing, too, because those "new fans" were a bunch of fucking retards.
What is pretentious about it? It's called free speech. By your logic we should never or boo or criticize the team. Ever. Is that how you watch football? And leave the money out of it. Finances are relative. You may have money to go to every home game while someone can barely pay for cable. Does that make you "pretentious"? I don't think so.
The Pryor pick is exactly why Idzik and Rex have to go. We had Brandin Cook at that 18 spot and Idzik listened to Rex and went defense. It was a very heavy WR draft and we came up empty handed on talent at that spot. That alone is the final straw.

Pretension is what you get when you treat something that doesn't really matter with great importance. Putting up fire Idzik banners on planes and billboards is pretentious because its a useless act with no actual tangible effects on how the team is run. The only thing this does is boost the old ego and give one the FEELING of getting something done, when in reality they aren't doing dick. Like I said, this changes nothing in the grand scheme of things. the powers that be won't give a shit about about a billboard, I'm pretty sure they already figured out that fans don't like it when their team does poorly, and they'll handle it one way or another regardless of what fans do. Make no mistake, they have every right to do this, but its useless, and a huge waste of money. the issue isn't THAT people are criticizing the team but HOW.
Lets put a big fire Idzik banner on this sites header, that'll show 'em! because it matters just so much to them, to see things like that, y'know?
