No franchise QB in this draft -- we don't tend to have a top pick with a can't miss franchise QB - franchise QB and fill in other pieces. CB, OL, secondary, another legit receiver.
There's no such thing as a can't miss franchise QB draftee. Next year we have a good chance of acquiring a QB that will be the long term solution. I'm not exactly sure what you mean after the bolded part. Can you clarify?
Can't miss -- Manning/Luck - can't miss prospects. We tend to miss by a year or two on those selections. We get a top tier pick with Keyshawn Johnson available -- or we draft Dee Miliner with the top 10. No pro-style college QB is going to go at 3 -- find some team in love with the Duck - trade for their first and some more -- pick up multiple needs. Best bet is a veteran QB and a QB in round 2 or 3 with pro style skill set
Funny Chip Kelly sucks, but everyone wants to draft his quarterback. Folkster would be great if we can keep him upright. He takes one hit and goes kerplunk.
There isn't a free agent QB out there in 2015 that doesn't make me want to throw up in my mouth at the idea they start for us. Anyone serviceable is going to cost us draft picks we need to plug those holes. It's a brutal cycle and the only way I see out of it is to take a QB in the first now, and spend the rest of this years draft and free agency fixing up the best we can before the next draft. We will likely have a top 5 pick again the following year and should be able to come out swinging. I can't see any other way to break out of the 4 year cycle of QB/HC/GM musical chairs we are in.
I'm fine with any of them as long as we end up with a QB in the draft that we wait to take over. If we have to go a full year with any of those FA with no young,potential backup, that will suck.
I agree with sitting the QB for a year. We've seen how well it works for us when the rookie starts right away. Bold words about being fine with any of the FA's. Tarvaris Jackson is on that list.

The Jets are just a worse team than the Eagles, talent wise and coaching staff wise, hence why Sanchez will be able to perform relatively well for the Eagles the rest of the season, wouldn't be surprised to see if Sanchez gets the start for next year.
But seriously, if Sanchez succeeds in Phili, which I'm very skeptical of, it would be an indictment of our offensive coaching staff and scheme. Well, of our franchise.
Nick Foles will be back and ready hopefully for the Eagles. But really Eagles needed to save Mark Sanchez job or Mark Sanchez needed to save their season.
i cant wait for the day to we finally draft a good qb so these annoying threads of trading for another teams un wanted garbage or signing a fa qb that if he was any good he wouldnt be a free agent.......ugh
People want to draft a QB not pick up someone else's trash. And Favre was terrible in his one year with the Jets.
