    Naw, we're gonna go CB in the first. We all know it. We just wish it wasn't so.

    I could def see it. Tampa needs the publicity too so it would make sense for them to get a kid from a Florida college to generate some buzz. I like Glennon but he isnt gonna put asses in the seats down there.

    One of the funniest draft videos I've ever seen. I remember the first time I saw it back in May, I watched it a dozen times. Killed me.

    And yes, if we pass on Mariota that will be me.

    We as in people like you. I recall you claiming Geno was the savior after that game.

    Could be? A first round pick is always valuable. But if the Jets think Mariota has the potential to be a franchise QB, then they have to seriously consider using both firsts to get him if someone else tries to move up ahead of them. The only reason I possibly wouldn't is because of his slighter build and somewhat lacking arm strength, but I still quite likely would due to his accuracy, intelligence and athleticism. If it was Teddy Bridgewater we were talking about, I would have done it in a NY minute. At any rate, a true franchise QB is easily worth two first round picks.

    If I (or the Jets) thought he had Andrew Luck levels of potential, than I would probably part with the pick.

    But as it stands now, I wouldnt trade an additional pick to move up two spots, especially for a QB who I dont consider to be an Andrew Luck type QB.

    Thankfully, we may not have to move up at all lol. We could go winless the rest of the season easily.

    You must really hate the Jets if you'd want them to pass up on a potential franchise QB and take an OT.

    Sign Hoyer, draft Cooper <I'd be happy. Rest of draft and FA to fix secondary and O line and away we go

    based on strength of schedule, I think Raiders will move down to #4 if all four bottom dwellers finish with the same number of wins. Tampa Bay should move up to #1 if all four teams finish with the same records.

    ====
    Although Jags/Raiders wouldn't draft a QB, I'm pretty sure they'll listen to offers for trading down. So the top QB prospects could still be off the board when Jets step up to pick

    Hypothetically, if the order is Raiders, Jags, and then Jets:

    If a team like Tampa tries to trade up to get the Jags pick, it might seriously be in our best interest to trade down with Tampa (give them a slightly better deal than the Jags) and create a deal in our favor. Rather than get screwed out of our QB due to a tradeup, we can extra first round picks by trading down ourselves. At least we get something out of it.

    That's what I would do if it looks like the Jags were about to trade down and screw us over, anyway.

    omg... TAKE AMARI COOPER! Are we gonna keep letting these great skill position players slide by us and go on to be great?!? I know we have Percy now and it may complicate things but let's be honest... Amari's a SURE talent... Like watkins coming out... we haven't drafted one to call our own since santana moss & keyshawn, then we wonder why our offense sucks. What professional QB can not prosper with Cooper, Decker, Harvin, Kerley & Amaro (plus the beast ivory in the backfield).
