Oh, and I've never said NO WIN was because of Sanchez, I've openly given him credit for the playoff win vs the Patriots in 2010. But yeah, most of the wins were because of a league leading defense and a top 5 running game. Those are facts. It's also a fact that the only season he was better than basically a .500 QB was the ONLY SEASON he had fewer than 23 turnovers (14). which brings us back to the problem with todays game...2 turnovers....you can not win consistently turning the ball over....and Sanchez has NEVER shown the ability to consistently take care of the ball...until he does yes I will continue to criticize him. He doesn't need 300 yard games, he doesn't need a 60% completion rate to shut me up....he's just got to stop turning the damned ball over....that's it. (edit) because at least then you could call him a game manager.
Not me. I thought he had an eye on MIN the entire time he was here. In fact, he only came here because GB wouldn't allow him to go to a division rival. I also feel that he sabotage the 08 season once he got hurt and cost Mangini his job.
I honestly find it funny, not that haha type of funny but that sad pathetic type of funny that on a day when an ex-Jet came off the bench cold after not having played for 2 years to complete nearly 70% of his passes for a 9.1 YPA with 2 gorgeous TD passes, directing multiple scoring drives and a fucking win, you feel compelled to continue with such vitriol your crusade to prove to the world that Sanchez still sucks. It has so consumed you that you can't just tip your hat, admit, "you know what, the old boy had a game today" and wait till next week when he inevitably fucks up to give us a a big hearty "told you so". It's fucking pathetic dude. Honestly. You're a good poster. But it's fucking pathetic. Good night. I'll read with great interest your stats analysis and metrics tomorrow. But probably not. _
And if the Eagles miss the playoffs or eek in at 9-7 (that would be 3 wins and 5 losses btw)? Eagles won't miss the playoffs though, not in the NFC Least. that said if Foles is out for 5 weeks Sanchez will have 3 decent tests, Greenbay, Dallas, and Seattle. he does well there we can talk.
You're a broken record. 2 picks..... Sanchez will have 4-6 weeks now with Foles being confirmed with a broken Clavical now (I've found several sources saying it's broken) We'll have a clear picture after those 4-6 games...3 of them are actually against decent pass defenses.
I guess good break for PHI, they get an extra day to prepare. Would be a good story for Sanchez too if he can bounce back to be a viable backup QB or more. His tenure in the media was made out to be a lot worse than it actually was because the bad parts all came in a large bunch. I really hope he doesn't stink it up in primetime, would feel bad for him. PHI media/fans is nothing easy to deal with either.
Ew, Monday's have NOT been good to Sanchez, but it is against the Panthers. 2-5, 49%, 4 TD, 9 Int...but it is against the Panthers, 3-5 record 2nd worst pass defense in the league in terms of TD's, I think 2nd or 3rd worst on yards allowed per game, and allowing a league worst just short of 70% completion rate.
it is if you want to be a starting NFL QB long term, especially if your not a high numbers QB. Foles was having a bad year this year largely because the Eagles got away from their 50/50 run/pass split from last year (actually it was I think 51% run 49% pass, but close enough to 50/50). This year they've been, up until today, 61%pass 39% run offense and almost every multi interception game Foles had was either 30 or 35 passes or more (scroll back for the real numbers, I'm heading to bed and don't feel like reposting the exact same information. all of his games with more than 2 picks came on games over 40 pass attempts, if I recall correctly. Sanchez is a lot like Foles in one regard, they both need the play action pass to be successful and that requires a running game and a run first offense, or at least a 50/50 balanced attack. I expect Sanchez to have a decent game next week. The Eagles are a very good team and the Panthers are a dismal pass defense and the Eagles should be able to run at will as well against the 3-5 Panthers. The next week will be the first real test for Sanchez led Eagles, the Packers who while not a great defense are at least middle of the pack as opposed to bottom of the barrel defense of this week and next. Sanchez couldn't have picked a better time if he had been given a choice of when to start, two of the worst pass defenses in the league in back to back weeks.
