LOL, it's the truth, 5th most yards allowed per game, 4th most points allowed per game via pass...

Not to mention Sanchez had 190 yards rushing game averaging 4.8 yards a carry, with the McCoy averaging 5.1 a carry and Polk averaging 6.3 playing the main fiddle....and a TD drive for 80ish yards where all Sanchez did was hand the ball off...

But whatever Stokes, I'm sure Junc and a few others will come out of the woodwork....until Sanchez is rebenched or throws his next multipick game.

Showed more in the redzone than the jets have all season.

as far as the cold excuse? I guess that makes Colt McCoy a great starting candidate, I mean he hadn't taken a snap in 3 or 4 years, no first team snaps..comes in cold and completes 11 of 12 passes for a TD against Tennessee...I mean it was a bad pass defense, but hey you don't get any colder than that...it's one game where he threw two picks...what's been my single biggest complaint about Sanchez? Turnovers.....yes you can argue he was unlucky on one interception, but those happen to all QB's....and if you're going to argue he was unlucky on that one then you have to say he was lucky he wasn't picked on the underthrown bomb in to double coverage where a defender missed the ball....but hey, it wasn't a pick either so....that's football...

Take away the Turnovers and Sanchez had a good game, but with the turnovers, nope....not at all.

Bad defense, lots of talent around him, system over-states his play, fake dropped INT stat, won't ever play in the NFL again, will never start a game ever, will be flipping burgers in 2014.

Oh, and he just plain sucks.

    That's what he'll say.

So pathetic how supposed Jet "fans" shit on an ex-Jet.

Because he was servicable today does not mean he would have been ok here. We have a 4 year sample size vs 1 game where he still had 2 t.o.'s.
People need to let it go. It wasn't going to happen for him here

It could have had they replaced Edwards properly, the lack of deep threat hurt the offense, and of course Wayne Hunter.......

Sanchez could end up with Rex next year but I hope he gets to Houston but we will see, he could end up taking Foles job.

My argument has been consistent and present all through this thread...hence there is no irony present.

And I notice you only throw an insult instead of addressing the main point, that my main point has always been his turnovers, his low completion percentage was secondary. You also ignore that Colt McCoy had a better game coming off the bench despit not having taken a snap in 3 or 4 years and zero reps with first string as a third stringer...

Also ignoring that the team rushed for 190 yards and the two main rushers were both well over 5 yards a carry....

Ignoring that he had moderate success against one of the leagues worst pass defenses...ignoring the two picks.

IF he has a good game against someone I'll tip my hat...this wasn't it.

Who the fuck cares about what Colt McCoy did?

The guy played a very good game, you go run your models and track your stats as to why he didn't.

I don't ever expect you to tip your hat to him. I'm just enjoying the fact he played a very good game and helped his team win on very short notice.

You see that's the problem with Jets fans, low expectations and a low standard of very good....

I'll tip my hat when it deserves to be tipped, like I do for the one playoff game against the Pats....But when he continues his trend of doing the one thing that you can not do consistently, turn the ball over, and continue to do the one thing I harp on the most, turning the ball over, and you do turn the ball over several times against a very bad pass defense...it's not a very good game....by any definition, except that of a fanboi.

So you blame him for that first INT? Did you see it? Lol. You give him no credit for the 2 perfect TD passes, for directing multiple scoring drives, for leading Philly to a win.

Nearly 70% completion percentage, over a 9 YPA, 2 TDs. Wtf do you want out of a backup QB? Lololololol.

Haters will never tip their hat regardless of how obvious it should be.

Enjoy your hate, I'm happy for the dude. Maybe next week he'll suck and you can continue tipping at windmills, but for this week, let it go. You are so fucking off its not funny, it's pathetic.

I am very happy Sanchez got the fuck out of this mess and is getting time to play for a football team with actual talent, an actual plan and in front of (Yes I am saying this) actual fans who don't boo players on a play by play basis. Watch when he got to an offensive mind that KNEW WHAT THE FUCK THEY WERE DOING, he was going to make things happen. He played admirably for his Eagles today in relief for Foles. Good for Mark, handled himself like a pro and class act with the Jets.

I hope Geno Smith gets the same benefit next offseason. Maybe a trade to St Louis with Bailey and Austin or somewhere.

Really good post. I loved and hated Mark as our QB. I'm not blaming it all on Schotty/Sparano because Mark really did blow at times but they didnt do anything to help because they were even worse. I hope Geno does go somewhere else and plays well STL would be good for him.

Oh I agree but he got a bad rep for stuff that happened, most of of which was caused by the people around him (failing to replace Edwards, poor online play, bad of, regressing RBs, etc). If that happened to anyone else they would have failed, just look at qbs recently who lost crucial parts; flacco, eli, rivers, ryan,) they all "regressed".

Yes I saw it in replay, I also saw the deep pass in to double coverage that he under threw that should have been a pick. An interception is an interception is an interception, all QB's have those. regarding the 70%, I said take away the turnovers and he had a very good game, two turnovers=not a very good game....86ish rating, not a good game.

No windmills to tip at dude, Sanchez has always been a turnover machine and I saw nothing different today against a very bad pass defense. you can't defend two turnovers, it just can't be done.
