I mostly agree, except for the fact that Rex seems to have an obsession with the defense, not just an expertise.
He just trust his OC. Let be real here he had Sanchez and Geno. Not far to judge a man with those QB's.
And we took Milliner over Richardson which means we weren't THAT high on him. But still one of his only solid picks.
By that logic, Rex has coached against offenses he should know how to defend against them. And Harbaugh has much more talent on D and a good coordinator.
Yeah, like defense happens in a vacuum. Bottom line: If the coach doesn't know offense, he can't possibly defend against it.
As he should absolutely. Rex in all honestly should have tips to go against certain QBs and offensive coaches. Knowing certain tendencies. Rex had some good talent on D and we still blew games and under-performed so I don't see the point here. Harbaugh is a better overall coach, he pays attention to both sides of the ball.
Look, Idzik left an opening for this by not giving Rex a vote of confidence. All he had to say was "Rex is our head coach for this season." Which is not much to commit yourself to. Maybe he wants to see if it gets worse and the team is blown out this Sunday against the Chiefs. To me: Rex should finish the season and then you give him the boot!
Rex and Idzik should be forced to see out this dumpster fire. What coordinator wants this on his resume?
Byz.......I thought there was no way, but after watching Rex put an injured Vick back in the 4th quarter of a game where he hardly lit it up (10pts), instead of seeing if Simms brings anything to the table, you may be right. Ryan is now, at best, just a bad HC.
Vick gave us a better shot at coming back than Simms - I know its hard to accept but its true - now I am in a place where I think a regime change is necessary - both on and off the field at the key spots - but all this constantly putting the blame on the HC when its a problem spread across 90% of the staff (coaching and playing) is just wearing and ridiculous
