well the fan base is pissed, so the gm knowing he did a piss poor job reacts by trading a way a draft pick (which is not a big deal because the gm drafts like crap anyway no matter how you cut it) all this carry over money he tried to save is now cut by what 6 million. It is a distraction at best. same move as tebow. If he is not with the team next year how do you defend it? it does not really help the team this yr at all. You keep on referring back to your other posts to defend this moron while ignoring everyone else's argument on the belief you know something no-one else does. Without condoning or condemning, I think this is hilarious. I think it speaks to the passion and the absurdity of what it is to be a sports fan. We invest so much of ourselves into something that we have literally no control over, and there are so few ways to make ourselves heard, that some of us resort to such extremes as this.

The consensus was that if McDougle didn't have that injury, he would be a 2nd rounder at least, and he looked pretty good in camp. Patterson had 2 things over Cromartie, he looked much better last year and he didnt have a history of clashing with coaches, etc. As someone who played off the bench in the past, they probably felt he was a better fit with McDougle. You can judge them for drafting over a longer period of time, because over time probability and chance even out somewhat as long as you make solid decisions. But it's a bad idea to judge the results of any single pick or short time spans since the draft is such a crapshoot. Geno was a pick we had to make, results notwithstanding. I disagree. The team he took over was much worse. It's just like when you are building a skyscraper, the results aren't immediately obvious. First you have to destroy the old building, clear out the area, dig up a huge hole, pour in a foundation, and then slowly start building it up. The results won't be clear to casual passerbys until late in the process, but obviously progress is being made. Same with rebuilding the franchise, we are in a much better cap situation, and are slowly building up a team of talented young players.
How wrong is this lets start with Patterson you are getting a player that played in 8 games over two yrs. Show me a player that lines up 8 games in 2 yrs to play a full season between 2 injury prone corners not a plan there so much as a faint hope. I would love to judge the draft over a longer period of time but he cut 7 players from this years draft a complete an total waste and goes against his thoughts of building from the draft because to build from the draft those players have to make the team. 7 out of 12 inexcusably poor drafting. How do you defend or judge that? this team is worse then last yr when judge by record which is the ultimate test. lets not forget the teams stars are a yr older. the defense has taken a major step back. just look at the game know and tell how much better they are.... this is not a sky scraper so analogy is moot. To call most of the fans here casual observers while thinking you are more only prove how moronic your defense is. this game is another lose why because our gm does not have the foresight or ability to put together a competitive team. have you ever stop to think you are wrong here and someone else may be right. the better sanchez looks for the price the worse idzik looks and the so called knowledgeable Jets fans. Sanchez was never going to be great but average to above average looks pretty damn good now doesn't it. Why dont the haters admit sanchez was not the entire problem here.
