I don't blame rex for the QB problems, but he plays a major part in the offensive struggles. It has been SIX YEARS and we still haven't developed ONE offensive talent. That clearly goes to show he doesn't know much on the offensive side of the ball. I also think our WR coach is absolutely horrible. That coaching position needs to be addressed, but that's a discussion for a different day.
Good point. Sheldon in particular scares me. He seems to be the most vocal in his support for Rex, I can definitely see him following him after his rookie deal expires.
The good thing is he isn't a FA for 3 more years after this one. If the Jets offer him the $$$ he will be a Jet. It's pretty simple.
Yea. Because there have been so many players taking less to play for rex Players go to money. If we can give them the best deal they will sign.
It wouldn't surprise me to see some of Rex players go to Woody and tell him if they fire Rex then I want traded. People can cut it anyway they want but most of the blame should be on Idzik. He didn't get it done in the draft or in FA. It funny people taking up for Idzik say it not fair to judge his drafts it takes more the 2 year to see how a draft class turns out but also want to get rid of Geno and say how bad he sucks. Why does everyone get more then 2 years but not Geno? That makes a lot of sense to me.
Remember all those allstars who followed rex to the jets? no? well at last he brought some jags along for the ride.

Players care about 2 things... #1- Money #2- Winning The idea that players would be rioting and forcing their way out of town to follow Rex like the pied piper's rats is just as foolish as it sounds. The Jets are 1-7 dudes! You think every player on the team doesn't already know something drastic is coming down the road? I have no doubts some players will be upset and speak out if Rex gets fired. But I bet if the new guy comes in and the team starts winning Rex will be forgotten fairly quickly.
This logic baffles me. Wilkerson has publicly said that he's underpaid, and Richardson has said Wilk needs to be paid. These guys next contract will likely be their biggest...you really think Sexy Rexy will be reason enough to take a 2-3mm discount? These guys want to be paid period. The only people who generally do this are guys who've already made a lot of money and want a ring.
So what he came to the Jets because of Rex. In fact he only talk to the Jets. Plus isn't that why MOST ALL FA leave there team?
David Harris is/was easily a much better overall linebacker than Bart Scott was. There were probably a couple of seasons where Pace was just as good or better, as well.
I heard joe Flacco is going to hold out if the ravens don't trade him to the jets so he can be with rex.
