How hard could it be to knock out a Bills fan?that's like bragging you beat up a 2 year old autistic girl
There are idiots in every fan base. Anyone siding with any of these two bozos needs to re-examine their life and priorities. It's just a game, played by millionaires. Nothing can be said about the Bills, or ANY sports team, that would draw me into a fight. Nothing. Even if it were in my own home. These two represent some of the things wrong in sports and society. Kudos to those that can understand this beyond the jerseys.
Exactly my reaction too. It's freaking football. Most of us are just trying to enjoy a few hours on a Sunday afternoon in the midst of busy and stressful lives. It's absolutely not worth committing assault, or getting assaulted, over.
While true, if one of said idiots becomes physically aggressive towards someone else they earn every bit of physical backlash they get. There may be only one idiot here and one person protecting themselves. They both could just be idiots. lol @ people assuming the Jets fan is classless. We don't know what led up to this.
There is a video of this on the BBMB. The Jets fan threw the first (and only) punch. I have no idea what was said, but I know that there was one punch thrown. The Bills fan is in the wrong for conducting himself in a manner that would elicit a punch. The Jets fan is in the wrong for getting so worked up as to feel the need to resort to violence. I am certainly not siding with ANY of these two clowns. They are both scum.
best hit of the game comes from the stands. At least someone in green showed up to the stadium with a physical presence.
It doesn't just happen to fans running their mouths--if douchebags want to be douchebags, they'll pick their spots. Last year of Giant Stadium, opening game against the hated Patriots. My daughter (20 at the time) and I are walking up to our gate and an older man walking in front of us--maybe late 50s--and what I assumed was his grandkid--maybe 12-14--is wearing a Tom Brady jersey. Minding his own business, a glorious sunny day in September, going to take in a football game of his favorite team with his grandkid. A group of drunk 20 year oldish beer-toting Jet fans ran through the line of folks heading to the stadium and the last of the bunch (shirtless, his shirt wrapped around his head like a headband) as he passes the older man whips around and smashes a beer bottle across the man's forehead, breaking the bottle and dropping the man like a sack of bricks. The hooligans continued running and a bunch of us started calling after them and calling out for security but they were gone. Sickening, as much as I hate the Pats and Brady, this dude was just taking his grandkid to the game but ended up in the Emergency Room, probably a concussion, stitches and possibly a cracked cranium, the grandkid traumatized, watched his grandfather bloody and unconscious, spent the evening at the hospital contacting his parents to come get him and his grandpop. And all because he had the audacity to wear a Brady jersey. Still can see it in my minds eye today. Hell, my daughter was traumatized and we weren't even involved and we still talk about it to this day. _
Yeah I hate Brady and the Pats also but you do kinda feel bad for the guy. I been to plenty of Jets games and there are fights every time. So if you go into enemy territory with a visiting jersey the risk of trouble goes up. If the Bills fan was running his mouth he got what he deserved. It might be sad but the Jets games are not a great family atmosphere, especially the 300 level.
I was in Ralph Wilson Stadium in Buffalo and I got punched in the face by a very large fat ass toothless woman while simply standing in a ridiculously long line for possibly their only shitty men's room in the 300s section... because "Tebow is a fag". and I had a Jets coat on. I gotta admit for a woman she cracked me good. It took everything in me not to hit her back because I'd probably still be in a Western NY Jail. What happened to that guy in your story is sickening but its a genuine problem everywhere. At least you and a bunch of people called for security to help the old pats fan out. And at least this incident in the OP got publicity instead of the numerous incidents that happen at stadiums every week.
Surprisingly, I have only been to 3 Jets losses. One, was Chicago this year, one was New England in 2011 after our big TGG tailgate (Hobbes incident), and Miami in the old stadium when Ted Ginn Jr. ran back two kickoffs. At every Jets loss I witnessed at least one fight. At the Chicago game and the Miami game the fights were between Jets fans lol
No way to know what went down there. The Bills fans watching from a couple rows back seem pretty amused by the punch out. At the same time some Jets fans seem pissed at Pennington and look like they're talking shit o him as they point him out to security.
I dont care either way really. It is one thing if they were trash talking and jawing at each other. That is what kills me about trolls on this board. The come here as internet tough guys talk crap and then man up when you call them out. This entire thing is is just crappy what gives anyone the right to talk crap about anything to a total stranger. I really think trolls should get 0 tolerance. I comment and gone. This is from the article. Seriously what gives anyone the right to talk crap to a complete and total stranger. The Jet fan should not have smacked him but reported him to security. But the bills fan should let his mouth write checks his ass can't cover. It is called common sense if you would not to a loved one in such a manner why would you talk to stranger that way. Witnesses also said the fan who threw the punch exited before security came. One told the site, "The Bills fan had been shooting his mouth off before the fight and the Jets fans took exception."
Are you serious? What freakin' jungle or middle school do you come from where some yapping is deserving of unconsciousness? Grow the fuck up.
