I was okay with Walt until his performance on Sunday. Kickoff Return is hardly worthy of roster spot with majority of kicks resulting in touchbacks but punt return is very very important. If Powell can prove worthy he should stick around but I see no reason for the other two at all.
No way Nelson is gone he plays a lot. Hakim never plays he only returns kicks. I think you have them mixed up.
He plays a lot but he's been so bad this year. I don't think he goes either b/c we have a use for a bigger, experienced guy like him. But man I've been disappointed...

Makes sense too add a 5th corner. Glad we didn't waste a spot on Matt Simms. Still don't know why we have 8 WR's.
I would assume that with Percy here now it means Walt Powell's services are no longer needed. And they deactivated him on Sunday. I thought he was getting better and has talent (in the return game). But they haven't released him yet.
I think he didn't drop any balls vs. NEP. Does anyone remember. But weren't his returns decent. That was his best game and then they deactivated him. I can see them signing Percy. They needed an impact player on offense and he was available. Plus the contract is not guaranteed after this season. But we had Kerley to play the slot and Powell as a return guy. Again things with this team personnel wise don't seem to click.
I would just like to see Marty go back to the basics and use his playmakers more. And not try to spread the ball around. He' s not fooling anyone, their trick plays don't work. As for defense that's a whole other story. You would think by this time there would be no excuse for blown coverages. And miscommunication on the field esp with the Dbs. It's not just a lack of coverage skills. The players we are using would make rosters of other NFL teams and be playing. But when a receiver esp on a 3rd and long is completely in the clear by 20 years that's not just a coverage problem. It's a terrible scheme, too.
Edds has been cut and re-signed a couple of times so far this season. And bouncing between the PS and the active roster. I guess it depends on their needs and it's on a weekly basis. So there's a good chance he'll be back some time this year. Of course he can be signed by another team, too.
