You guys probably already have a thread like this but i couldn't find it soooo For me its pretty simple... On offense i absolutely HATEEEE willie colon who is a momentum breaking jersey grabbing scrub, it is unfortunate he is a main leader in the locker room (you're supposed to lead by example willie) just shows our inept depth of leadership. And in my opinion no one on the entire teammmmm (besides maybe folk) deserves more LOVE than the beast chris ivory who is by far my favorite jet this year. On defense i LOVE calvin pace and the high motor and intensity he consistently brings. But i absolutely HATE the cornerback version of double A, he is constantly getting burned or drawing a flag. The kid really needs to be back at strong safety where he has shown he can thrive Just another result from idziks inept ability to address a glaring need (drafting a safety instead of a CB at 18) So what about you guys? On our current roster who is your loved and hated player on both sides of the ball?
I don't really hate players on the Jets for their performance, for example Geno may suck or Kyle Wilson may suck, but it makes no sense to me to hate them for it. If they could play better, I am sure they would, but they can't. I might dislike a player for non-football stuff, like I couldn't stand Keyshawn back in the day, cause he just seemed like a real ahole. I don't think there's anyone like that on the current team though. As far as liking, Sheldon Richardson is my favorite player on defense, and probably Amaro right now on offense.
I would have said David Nelson or Kyle Wilson. Nelson is gone, so Wilson. Thats the dislike part. For like I have to say Ivory. For Ivory, football seems like a religious experience.
Offense Love- Eric Decker- He's been a pretty consistent player for the Jets over the course of this season. His overall numbers don't jump out at you but if the Jets had a complete offense with a decent QB, Decker would flourish. Even without he still seems to make his presence felt on the field. Dislike- Willie Colon- The OP is pretty spot on with the assessment of him. The guy stinks, is a walking penalty, and his days in the league or it least for the Jets should be numbered. I hate listening to analysts and fans talk about the "toughness" he brings to the O-Line and how he's a leader and a guy who always talks to the media win or lose. IDC about any of that. It means absolutely nothing. The guy is a bad football player. End of story. Defense- Tough casue there are a lot of guys I really like. Love- Muhammed Wilkerson- The guy is just a beast. Nothing else to say. He's great in all aspects of his position. Dislike- David Harris- He stinks. I probably wouldn't have a huge problem with him as much as I do if he wasn't getting paid like a star. The guy is not a star, and has never been a star. Bart Scott always made him look better then he was by taking on fullbacks and lineman to free up Harris to make the play.
well as of right now.... since stephen hill is gone, winters is hurt, im gonna go with anybody at the QB position right now for my offensive player i hate right now. Vick/Geno. Piss offs, turnovers are just dumb, i can live with great play by the defenses... but these morons are just GIVING the ball away like it's a donation my god... Most loved offensive player right now gotta be Chris Ivory. Beast Mode, not really much else to say about it. Jace is a close second though, he's gonna be a fucking stud. Most hated defensive player right now.. Darren Walls.. my god i can't believe i was begging for him to start before the season started. I got what i wished for now all he does is piss me the hell offf. Most loved defensive player right now.. Demario Davis. He's our future at the LB position. Motor is crazy high, above average athleticism at his position, young voice of the defense, gotta love it.
OFFENSE FAVORITE: Nick Mangold OFFENSE HATED: Michael Vick - I've been calling for him to start all season, the two times he gets in a game he proves he was completely unprepared and must not have paid any attention in practice. Being off on a timing pattern is one thing (shows you didn't have practice reps with the first team), but turning the wrong way on handoffs is something completely different (shows you don't care enough to learn the playbook). And yes, I still want him to start ... but I'm furious that he's collecting $4 mil and making absolutely no effort to date. DEFENSE FAVORITE: David Harris - same reason I like Mangold; he keeps his mouth shut and performs above average. DEFENSE HATED: Milliner and Wilson - two first round picks, one can't get on the field and the other blows
Coming from an ambassador for geno? Unless your name really is geno. The word hate is more intended towards a performance grading rather than a personal judgement.
Present Favorite Offense -Decker (Fan of him since Minnesota) Defense - Sons of Anarchy (All dominate) Hard to cheer for Offense - Aside from every offensive coach I'd probably go Colon because of the dumb penalties Defense - Kyle Wilson (Terrible just terrible) Past Favorite Offense - Wayne Chrebet (Chad comes close second, Curtis third, L Coles comes to mind as well.) Defense - Revis Hard to have cheered for Offense - Hill and Sanchez both for obvious reasons Defense - Revis
I totally agree with you on harris that he is definitely overpaid but he's getting that money because he has been our most consistent linebacker for the past years, the guy is always playing his heart out.
I don't hate any Jets players. Having said that, my least favorite Jet is probably Kyle Wilson. I just have so many images of him dropping potentially game changing interceptions. My favorite Jet is probably Chris Ivory.
i love jace amaro, dude is going to be a player and is shrugged off a bad training camp i hate geno for obvious reasons although I'm starting to feel bad for him i love demario davis, this guy is a play maker and will only get better and i hate dee millner, what a bust and all he does is talk. so disappointed in him
Yess i love demario as well, its relieving to know we will have a more than capable LB stepping up when harris steps down
Ivory is fun to watch. Cumberland is a disappointment. On D, Wilkerson is the man and I cringe when Kyle Wilson is on the field.
lol thats crazy.. hating the player for the way he plays the game is one thing but hating the actual person for who they are is just retarded. lol.
