Not to get on topic or anything, but does anyone know where to get the videos of his podcast? I'm a long time subscriber, and would love to watch his shows now that that's an option. Hail Eisen.
You're simplifying free agency too much. This offseason they should just SIGN dez bryant, just SIGN demaryius thomas. They have to be aware not to overpay for players and to leave enough flexibility in the cap so you don't let your good players walk. The Colts just allowed 522 passing yards, so are you willing to pay a cb 10 mil a year for that kind of performance?
A team that commits the amount of penalties we commit and the type we commit is a sure sign of an undisciplined team. You want "people" to hold the players accountable when Rex doesn't even hold the players accountable! Seeing Rex through rose colored glasses needs to stop, it's time REX is held accountable for his deficiencies . YES I AGREE THE GM IS A CLUELESS IDIOT and should be shown the door along with Rex, absolutely. His piss poor drafting and failure to address the CB situation doomed this team from the get go, but to think Rex doesn't share the blame equally is something I can't agree with. Rex is still what he was 6 years ago when he was hired, he hasn't progressed from DC to HC, it's just not in his DNA. After that headset debacle in Green Bay on the last drive I was done. Now I'm WELL DONE!
It keeps getting better. From a Jet fan posting. "I heard this on the Radio this morning. According to someone reports Rex Ryan needed to get permission from both John Idzik and Woody Johnson before he was allowed to change the starting QB for the next game? Am I the only one who thinks this story is very strange?" This may be BS but the circus continues to roll. Definitely food for thought.
That's really interesting. If that report has "legs" then our hope of finding a good new HC just went from hard to almost impossible. No HC wants to be told how to manage his team...whoooooo...
he's not a Jet fan. he's been bashing us for a long time, he may have grown up a Jet fan but h isn't one anymore.
You can say that about any head coach - hey, Rich Kotite didn't block, run, tackle or pass either. After 5+ years the reality is Ryan's incompetence in all facets of preparation, game planning, and in-game strategy contiues to cost this team games. And I will say this with all confidence, and by all means save it and throw it back in my face if I'm wrong, but Rex Ryan will NEVER be a successful NFL head coach. And that means winning a championship.
I never understood the excitement or love for Marty Mornhinweg by Jets fans and Eisen sums up why. And he was an Idzik decision.
Mix and match just doesn't work for us. We've tried it twice now with mixed results at best. We tried Schotty forced on Rex. Then we tried Rex forced on Idzik. This shit just doesn't work so to avoid the insanity, can we stop doing this over and over looking for a different result?
For all we know, Idzik has been pleading with Woody to let him fire Rex and get his own people in here. Unlike the past, nothing leaks out of Jetville anymore. The Woody Rex union is disturbing. But then again, Idzik could have said no to the job. And he could have actually wanted Rex
Let's not go crazy here and start comparing Kotite to Ryan. The record, for one season, may turn out to be the same but that's where all similarity ends. Kotite NEVER coached again...on any level...I checked. Ryan WILL get another HC gig...mark it down. And...you saying Ryan will NEVER be a successful championship HC would be just like people saying the same thing about Bill Belichick when he left Cleveland...btw...of which he displayed similar issues that Ryan does...but on a far WORSE scale and with a hell of a lot more talent than Ryan ever had. Also, you can talk about preparation, planning, in game strategy etc...all you want. Take a good hard look at Seattle. Nothing fancy with these guys...also the MOST penalized team in the league last year. But tell me...what did they have that the Jets do not have to mitigate things. TALENT.... TALENT can overcome a lot of things. Also, some of those in game time outs etc...are on the players. When I see Geno running around with his head up his ass that is on Marty and he...they are calling the time outs...not Ryan. Regardless...doesn't matter...
Pffft...dream on brother. The Jets aren't winning SHIT on Sunday. The closest shot in hell of the Jets winning a game MAY be Vikings or Titans...and that is a big god damn maybe.
Why are half of you calling him rich eisens? Seriously? Do you guys not know who he is or something? Unreal. He is my favorite podcast host.
Totally and absolutely agree with you. People are foaming at the mouth to get rid of Rex. Some of the laughable reasons like clock management and QB grooming. Clock management is a pimple on this huge problems' ass. We got creamed because be have no QB period and some of the supporting talent is pathetic. Geno is not remotely capable of playing in this league. You can't groom a guy that does not belong in the NFL. Woody and Idzik gave Rex a pile of shit to manage and injuries compounded the problem. Rex will probably be the escape goat this year and that will fix absolutely nothing.
