On top of that, its a rematch of last year's conference finals, with a wolfpack mentality on Kreider and a emotional crowd looking for an emotional release after a horrific terrorist attack. their chances were not good.
Improbable win considering we had 6 shots on goal after about 38 minutes, and trailed 3-0, Zucc finally woke up....Kreider's penalty was a fuckin' joke he hit that guy on the goal line 8-10 feet from the boards, it is hockey, it was a clean check....not liking John Moore, more each game, stupid cheap shot, wtf was he thinking, we were already down get yourself thrown out and give them a 5 minute PP
Nash is carrying them , Brass has had more bad games then good games but is showing signs of life now
Zuke's energy night in and night out is huge for this team (like Callahan was). That sort of effort has to rub off on the team eventually. Brass definitely went hyper last night and made shit happen
What a comeback! This team still plays poorly at times on defense. Man that kid "The DUKE" looks so good out there...Will not try to hype him up though.
Funny how it works out? After all the hype losers like Manny Malholtra and JT Miller got, here come DuClair, with little fanfare, clearly better than either of them were at this point.
Anyone who follows the Rangers' prospect system were hyping the fuck out of Duclair. He had an absolutely phenomenal post-draft season. If anything, I would say Duke was 10x more hyped than Miller the second he had that year in juniors.
Oh stop: Every time Miller was brought up, all we heads was endless hype about what a good fit he is and how much he is going to help this team!
completely disagree, it was radio silence on Duclair before this year. The hype machine only ramped up when he was scoring every day in the preseason
I agree about Kreider's penalty. At most, its boarding with no match penalty. There was no intent to injure. The guy tried tried to draw a call by leaning into Kreider while off balance, and Kreider gave him a slight nudge into the boards. Kreider could have thrown him hard into the boards and the guy would have been seriously injured, but he didn't do that. Nothing Kreider can do that he's incredibly strong and the guy went hard into the boards. Doesn't seem like he will be suspended, and thats the right call. I thought throwing him out of the game was a terrible call. Moore's hit was bad, but didn't look intentional. It looked like he was trying to turn into the guy and make a clean hit, but he couldn't get his body totally turned around, so that caused him to elbow him unintentionally. Considering that Prust got only two games for an intentional elbow that broke Stepan's jaw in the playoffs, I think Moore doesn't deserve a suspension. He's having an in person hearing though, so that probably means close to 10 games. The NHL continues to hate the Rangers.
did that happen last night? seriously. holy smokes I d be lying if I told you I didn't spray my shorts.
Adam Herman@Herman_NYRBlog Of the 79 players drafted before Anthony Duclair, 15 have played an NHL game. Only 11 of those have scored an NHL goal. Vindication.
it's a question of access to facilities and equipment, and of a visible alternative to football / basketball / baseball Once the national skating center gets going in the Bronx you'll see a lot of new talent come out in the following decade
