No one in this admin has the courage to make the tough decisions, we will be mired with mediocre coaching, talent evaluation, drafts, FA signings...etc
Calm down everyone. When have press conferences ever told us anything about our team? When talking to the media, all owners and GMs and coaches are all playing the "marketing" game; they aren't talking real football b/c that's not the point of a press conference. It's simply a way of communicating pretty non-substantive messages to a fanbase and a media base without making headlines. Rex has done this his entire career. Does anyone remember when Tanny and Rex continued to talk about how awesome Brian Shottenheimer was two days before Schotty was fired? Press conferences are 100% meaningless, b/c decisions are not made while your every word is being recorded and quoted. The NFL is not a transparent organizations; organizational decisions are made behind closed doors and we won't find out those decisions until (probably) the end of the season.
I hear you but there asking legit questions. Idzik is the total disaster half of us thought he was 6 months ago. He's just clueless.
These generalisms don't make him any friends with the press or with the fans. He won't even say Rex will be the head coach after Sunday.
Lol I heard them all get pissed.. He hasn't anwserd a question.. He such a putz. It's no surprise were the worst team in football with this moron driving the car.
I understand that and I certainly didn't expect anything earth shattering. But it is nice to seem him squirm away from the questions.
Still doesn't mean we can't vent. This guy hasn't talked to the press or radio since preseason and he designated THIS as his one and only appearance. He should go fuck himself for being so arrogant. _
the media was putting on the heat...to be fair...i hate the ny media who covers the jets...rich cimini is awful
I definitely agree... Idzik and Rex and this whole team needs to be held accountable right now. But unfortunately that's not how football works, because the NFL is a multi-million dollar enterprise. When Rex said last night "I really think Geno can be a good quarterback," he was not speaking 100% honestly, and why would he? He's saying what needs to be said for marketing purposes.
That was impressive, when asked if he's given tx enough talent to work with he mentioned the Percy harvin trade. Lol
this organization -- from ownership down to the players -- is a classic example of guys being miscast all over the place 1) the old rich kid owner should be doing philanthropic / political stuff 24-7 instead of running an NFL franchise 2) the GM should be the salary cap manager 3) the "director of scouting" Terry "doug jolley" bradway should be on the streets 4) the HC should be the defensive coordinator 5) the starting QB should be the backup or 3rd string 6) the backup QB should be starting (even though it won't make a difference) 7) Antonio Allen should be playing CB? Safety? linebacker? in the CFL? 8) Brian Winters should be pumping gas somewhere in New Jersey
