Why bother playing Vick at this point. Geno should never see the field in a Jets uniform ever again. At least give Simms a half season to see if there is anything there.
Yep. Rex actually said after the game that he feels Geno will still be a good quarterback. That's how hopelessly delusional the guy is. We are infinitely more likely to see Geno starting next week than Simms. Very, very sad.

What is Rex supposed to do? Call Geno a bum? I don't think Simms is any good but at this point you have to leave no stone unturned. If he shows you something he may be the hold the fort guy while we develop the rookie.
No, but that's irrelevant. The problem with Rex is that he constantly goes out of his way to delusionally praise his players and tell everyone that they are better than they really are. I watched his entire post game press conference. He could have easily answered all of the questions without saying anything of the sort. He went out of his way to sound like a clown. As per usual.
Like I said in the previous post he could be blowing smoke or he really believes it. Rex rarely bashes his players in public and he's always finding the silver lining with every negative. That doesn't bother me at all.
1) If that's how he honestly feels, then he's a delusional, incompetent buffoon. 2) If he is just blowing smoke (Which is what I personally believe) then it's getting fucking old. I'm tired of hearing about how great everyone on the team is. It's bullshit. This team is 15-28 in his last 43 games. The Rex cheerleader act is just tired and it has run its course.
Many of the fans want to keep playing Geno to tank the season. If this is the case why not Simms. Could he be any worse? Sure but at this point I would approve of Donald Duck to start next week. Let's face it our team is between a rock and a hard place.
The season has now gone, so why not let Simms have a chance and see what we have. The same goes for the rest of the roster. If we are going to have a clear out at the end of the season, why not let the back up players get some time in and see who is actually worth keeping.
