    The scouts, Idzik and Ryan are terrible at evaluating talent.

    This thread, which was once a a joke, has sadly turned into a pretty realistic scenario.

    Let's be honest...where are these wins coming from everyone keeps talking about?

    @KC-L
    PIT-L
    @BUF-L (sadly)
    MIA-L (Might be able to pull that one out though)
    @MIN-W
    @Ten-W (Both of those aren't guaranteed though)
    NE-L
    @Mia- L

    We could very well be in the midst of a 2-14/3-13 type season here.

    I agree, there is no way we're winning at KC and Pittsburgh looked awfully good today.

    Buffalo is just better than us and I'm not so sure that Miami isn't also.

    And a split against Minny and Tenn might be wishful thinking.

    Really unfortunate the bucs blew it today. I think mike glennon is decent, but you know they want to go qb first. We don't have to worry about Jacksonville, or Minnesota. Oakland i feel will stick with Carr, but if they're picking top 2 they might have to do what Carolina did, which is draft a 2nd rd qb, then go qb to start the draft next year.

    I don't think so. Clausen sucked. Carr is going to be a long time starter for them.

    i think i saw that you know a lot about the draft and college me not so much. But by watching some highlight tapes on Mariota he looks like he would fit our offense perfectly especially if harvin is here next year.

    I'm no expert but I like watching college QBs. The guy has great skills and will IMHO be a top flight QB in this league for years.

    If we are a top 5 pick we need to do whatever we can to get the guy.

    We missed a few really good ones last year, this is the last truly good one for a while.

    Nope completely different player in college. Mariota is miles better than Geno was.

    His cbs draft profile says he compares to kaepernick. Any comment on that? I'm not sure how to feel.

    The biggest differences between them is their release and throwing motions and their aggressiveness.

    Mariota has a much quicker, tighter more compact release (Kaep has a weird delivery while Mariota's is more classic) and I think Kaep is much more aggressive and reckless with the ball while Mariota is more careful.

    Kaep has a bigger arm, throws a harder fastball which leads to his aggressiveness and more errors.

    I think the comparisons involve their running, but I'm hoping Mariota dials that back in the NFL.

    I think Mariota has many of the good traits of Kaep but fewer of the negatives.

    Him and geno are completely different. Geno would never run in college and a big part of mariotAs game is opition or run.

    Thank you for your response. I also think it can be great that if we were to draft him we are bringing in a new qb with weapons already (decker, harvin, kerly, amaro) rather than have our qb struggle then get the weapons like we did with Sanchez and geno

    We can't say a QB fits our system or offense because chances are we're going to blow up the coaching staff. An entire new offense with new players on the OL, maybe someone else to replace Harvin, and of course new QB, HC, and OC>

    Ok so the Rams our officially out of the race. Nice fumble by Kaep at the goal line.
