i bolded the part I meant in the quote, about taking carr over pryor, I wouldn't do that. Bridgewater perhaps, but not carr. Carr's another guy i think got taken at the right time, high in the second. You've definitely seen more than I have of him but he didn't feel like a guy i'd forsake other positions for. which reminds me, i've been meaning to look up these two and botrles on game rewind. I'll let the tape tell the tale of their football IQ. I see Smiths as capable of being something to work with, but not on par with others.
It was a bad pick. I am sorry we picked him. The big mistake was treating him as if he was an automatic starter. No qb competition was ever held. It didn't help him and it certainly hurt the team. I believe it was Idzik call to push him as the starter and he should take the hit. IMHO
Great post. I've felt the same exact way the entire time. It's the most important position in pro sports, and any team without one they're sure of, should keep picking QB's until you find one that can play.
LMFAO at the guy who ripped Geno for being an Air Raid QB and was mad because we could have drafted Manziel...WHAT A FUCKING DUMBASS. Manziel came from such a similar system, he never had a playbook. The Browns had the most elementary offense ever in the preseason and Manziel still looked like horseshit. You guys were oogling all over Tajh Boyd last year. YOU ALL DONT KNOW WHAT THE FUCK YOURE TALKING ABOUT. Glad the Jets are such absolute horsehit because you pathetic ass fucking fans deserve to be a perennial laughing stock you fucking guido faggots.
You can't fix stupid. All you can do is try to hide it. That's not the description of a franchise QB. _
I think Cook stays another year at MSU. That kid is a gamer though. I hope we get Amari Cooper. I agree that Mariota is overrated as well. Very raw.
Drafting him was just this side of fucktarded, since most of our problem was the OC. Once Idzik did it, the 'managerial' 'competition at every position' neophyte GM did everything he could not to weaken Sanchez bargaining position, but to ride him out of town. he cost the organization a 5 overall pick, just because he could. He got zero value for it, and has now set the organization back 5 years. Sanchez player value the season after the injury was around 4 mil. Thats what philly pays him to hold a clipboard. Thats what we pay Vick, to come into the game and show Smith that you can score, and turn the ball over a zillion time and lose. Can someone text woody Tanny's new number...
Sanchez of the 4 playoff wins, snd shitty OC? that was bearing Smith out in TC? that guy? Who, developmentally should have been coming inro his own when MM got here?
sanchez wasnt beating geno out before geno was drafted. sanchez was the worst QB in football, by a LARGE margin, during his tenure with the jets. and statistically the 3rd worst qb of all time for anyone who has started 50 or more games. and at that point, sanchez was regressing, badly. it was clear sancehz wasnt the long term awnser
ahhh now we come to the point was it Sanchez or the talent around him. I admit Sanchez did not make the players around him better average qb at best. But his is oen of the few Jet qbs with winning percentages in the playoffs one, two he did help win more playoff games then an Jet qb in recent memory. While Geno actually makes the players around him worse. We could have signed a vet qb to fight for and win the job and upgraded the talent around the eventual winner of the job. But idzick tried to draft a qb that does not fit in a pro offense. Then compounded the issue by not getting a young one that did
Just seeing him pouting because he didn't get picked in the first round and didn't want to stay for the second. Told me all I needed to know LOSER .
