More Russel Wilson and Kaepernick then Matt Ryan. Jameis is a pocket QB

I really want Cooper but we will most definitely be taking Winston or Mariota.

This would be the most scrutinized and hated team in america if we draft Winston. In terms of Connor Cook I dont think he is any good. 2 biggest games and he looked average @ oregon and vs Nebraska. We will have a really high pick. It may not be pretty but we may have to take the Stanford OT, Cooper, or Kevin White.

1a Cedric Ogbuehi OT Texas A&M
    1b Shaq Thompson OLB Washington
3 Tre Jackson OG Florida State
4 Used to trade up from round 2 into round 1

    Free Agents

QBs - 2 new guys - Mallet, McCoy, and Hoyer are some possibilities
RB - I would try to get Frank Gore or one of the Patriots RBs, otherwise resign Powell
WR - Randall Cobb and a couple lower priced guys (Cecil Shorts / Hakeem Knicks, etc.)
TE - Jordan Cameron and Owen Daniels
OT - Bring in one or two for depth
    OG - Mike Iupati
OC - If we could get Wiznewski, Hardwick, or Raiola Mangold and his huge salary become expendable

    DT - Bring back snacks
OLB - Justin Houston and Jason Worilds
    CB - Brandon Flowers

I think Cook stays another year at school. I like the Stanford tackle and Cooper this year. If both are available it's Cooper.

Our TE are fine, Amaro needs to toughen up a bit but they are fine for us.

Great, then he will fit right in here.

Seriously though I do like Amaro but think we need another TE to replace Cumberland. Unless we break the bank on a guy like Julius Thomas, TEs usually come cheap.

If we're in the Top 3 behind Oakland and Jacksonville it will be Mariotta or Winston.

You never know what Oakland does and let's be honest, the Jags could always trade away that 1st pick.

Anyone who wants Winston will regret the day the Jets draft him.

A head case moron is not the one you want QBing your team.

All the talent in the world means nothing if you have sawdust for brains.

    Hello Jamarcus Russell part deux!!!

Replace with Andrus Peat a much better player.......Ogbuehi is overrated and soft.

What do you think about Mariota? How does he rank against last years QB's? Meaning is he better than Teddy, Carr, Bortles etc?

Yeah but if we're 3, we'll be in the best position to move up and get Mariota. If you're Oakland or Jax, you don't want to drop down past 6 or 7 or 8. 3 is a great spot to be in if you don't need that QB. You get the choice of the absolute top LT, top DE or top WR.

mariotta may be our guy at the end of the day. it would be the right pick. BUT, I would keep him out a year. Ease him into the league... We can't mess another qb situation up.

Rd 2, throw in Ty Montgormery WR Stanford.

All these QBs have flaws, nobody is in the class of Andrew Luck. Mariota, at least to me, looks inconsistent and has mechanical flaws. I don't hate Mariota, but don't value him as high as others. I wouldn't draft Mariota as high as the Jets are going to pick, which will probably be in the top 5. I'd draft a top OT like Peat or Amari Cooper.

The Jets should try to sign FA Vet QB and draft a QB in a later Rd. I really like Garrett Grayson out of Colorado State. The Jets can look to drafting a QB in 2016 which looks to be a really solid group.

Finding your franchise QB is so difficult, well more than half of the QBs drafted in Rd 1 fail and that sets your team back.

I believe the Jets or any team should draft a QB every year, even if you don't need one. The Patriots have drafted QBs when they don't need one and now look to have a QB of the future 3/4 years from now.

Jamarcus Russel dont carry 1% the positive energy that jameis brings to a team. You gonna see him flash in the nfl i belive he will get the right agent, He got a great caracther despite his dumb issues. For him to be a top 5 pick he will just need to be himself on the combine interviews.
