I had to start just a general thread to discuss EVERYTHING...there is no one specific thing wrong with this team. It has permeated the entire squad...Special Teams, Offense...Defense.

As many of you know I'm a HUGE Rex Ryan supporter...this was the nail in the coffin. He has to go. Idzik should fire him now so as to save him resigning. That's the ONLY thing that is going to shake this team mid-season.

Woody NEEDS to fire Idzik at the end of the season. Both the coach and GM have failed, historically, at this point. I'm sorry but the Idzik supporters who reflect that he's only had 2 seasons need only look at the ridiculous roster he started the season with and how much resources he had. That is unacceptable and inexcusable.

The Jets need a full blow up. I feel real bad for a guy like Amaro who is going to be a top tier TE. I feel real good for guys like Wilkerson and Richardson who are young enough and in a position to GET OUT before too many of these seasons happen. Just sad, inexcusable and plain ridiculous.

Idzik actually managed to make the team worse with all the cap space and draft picks

I agree I like rex but he lost this team with the instance on playing the living turn over time after time. The gm should go too because he set up this yr for failure from day one to save cash and start this spiral down to bill levels of ineptitude

We were 5-1 in one score games last year. That was lucky.
We are 1-5 in one score games this year. Blame the law of averages.

I have a feeling that these guys will move onto where ever Rex winds up. And yeah, good for them.

And I'm sure Rex will get HC offers, but the best thing for him would be to take a DC job under a HC that can teach him something about managing an entire team.

everything is terrible - outside of maybe 4 or 5 players there is nothing even above average about this team - its a moribund franchise that will more than likely never amount to anything - if there was relegation as there is in Soccer then this team would be in a lower division, it just doesn't belong in the NFL, maybe we could move to the CFL where we might have a chance at winning something?

the QB play is beyond a joke, the secondary is a disgrace - 1 Bills player had as many yards receiving as our entire team managed, the turnover ratio that this team has is just incredible (by which I mean incredibly bad), I just wish that there were some way of having an impact on the team but there isn't - the players clearly don't care so long as they continue to get paid and the only person that seems to give a damn is either going to resign or get fired - and the team will then continue the cycle of misery.

If Woody also sold the team, it would be icing on the cake

    Great thread!

I don't feel like saying much, but I will say this.

    WE NEED OFFENSIVE LINE HELP.

It doesn't matter who you are, if you have time to throw, you will succeed. If you have lanes to follow on runs, you will succeed. It's time we seriously think about having an overhaul on the OL.

no sir the law of averages do not turn the ball over 3 times in 3 drives
the law of averages do not start the living turn over when every sane person would not
the law of averages do not go into the season with 21 million dollars in cap space and does not try to fill any holes and sabotages the entire yr so he can get his coach in here
If rx had a hair on his ass he would call out idzick. The last Jets coach I had respect for was Walt Michaels When he got fucked in the mud bowl and the nfl kept it quiet he just walked rather then put up with the bull shit

If the Jets had at the least, a half way decent QB to make the right reads and decisions, there wouldn't be topics such as this to 'clean house'. Yes Idzig can be blamed for making the commitment to draft Geno and putting him into the fire, but that's gamble many franchises make.
