Can we give Simms a shot now? Can't suck worse than Vick and Smith!

    Vick can't throw, can't hold on the ball, and is a 50% completion guy, while Geno can't read a defense and loves to throw to the other team.

    Why not? Simms won't help this shit pass protection and stupid amount of turnovers though. He isn't mobile at all so the OLine would need to actually be somewhat competent

    Of course, the O-Line might perform a helluva lot better with a QB who actually knows how to read a defense.

    Jets have nothing to lose by starting Simms.

    We already know Geno and Vick cannot lead this team next year. See what you have in Simms, even if its merely the low bar of seeing if he will be good enough for the job as a No. 2 QB, or as a "caretaker" starter at QB as they wait for whoever they draft in the first round at QB to be ready. Conversely, you can also make the decision as to whether they should cut Simms altogether and bring in talent at QB.

    Well Vick has dropped the ball 4 times and 2 Ints so far today, so if you believe in him after this week, or still think Smith is better, then I hope we keep with them. It will ensure us a better draft pick to draft a QB.

    Simms is not the answer either. But at this point it won't hurt to at least see what we have in him.

    First move after the game should be to promote Simms up to active. He at least knows the offense and fans like him, unlike Vick. Could you imagine another team signing Simms on Monday to fuck with the Jets, Miami comes to mind.

    So wrong! Give Simms 90% of the 1st team reps and preparation for an actual start, before you say that. Geno has had all the reps and preparation for two seasons.

    Geno - 26 NFL games started.
    Simms - 0 NFL games started, 3 games played.

    Yep, definitely saw what we are going to get out of Simms with that sample size. . .

    He started vs SD last season. This is why we went and got Vick. If he struggles vs 3rd stringers, hows he gonna do against 1s?
