the last few years they haven't had great team around him but early in his career they did and a huge reason why they couldn't win in January was b/c of the QB.

He doesn't need to carry the tam, he needs to play well in big games h has not done.

I think that "carrying" a team hurts the perceived top QBs, I think they get it in their minds that they do have to "carry" their teams and it leads to playing tight and making the big mistakes.

where was Mark's agent quoted in any of those articles?

Only way Mark returns to the Jets, is if there was no other suitors out there to sign Mark as a starting QB.

If Woody were to blow everything up, then I can see it. The new FO and CS wouldn't carry the burden of their history with MS and would just have to deal with the fans' reaction. It wouldn't come across as an admittance of having made a mistake. Since it's starting to feel like, JI and maybe even RR might not be going anywhere, MS coming back is very unlikely.

I would not like it one bit if he ended up with the Bills.

Ain't happening, even with a new regime. Woody wouldn't sign off on that particular signing.

Hmmm, never considered the Bills but now that you bring it up, it's not out of the realm of possibility. Orton's contract is really a 1 yr deal with a 2 yr facade so they certainly could be in the market for a vet next season. That would be interesting.

they are a QB away from being a playoff team. That would be a disaster for us, there or Miami.

Like I said, wins are team stats, regardless of if it's the regular season or the post season....A top flight QB who can carry your team when it's needed adds to a teams chance of winning. A top flight QB who ALWAYS has to carry his team will lose in January because the team around him is bad. You need a QB who can step up to carry the team on occasions, but not one who has to throw 35 or more times every game in order to give your team a chance to win. But you do need one that on 1 or 2 or 3 games a year can throw 35+ times to lift your team to victory when it 's needed.

So true, Sanchez will be free in a year. He will get his chance to start, not sure where, but he will.

the worst season Mark had here(his only bad season) we were in playoff contention in December w/ Chaz Schilens starting so it's a good thing we got rid of him and solved all our problems. Imagine how bad we'd be if he was still here.
