They wouldn't be releasing him if they were trading him. They have him buried on the depth chart it would make sense for both teams honestly. It won't matter if Shaq Evans and Quincy Enunwa show progress.

What the f*ck would you trade for him, if its anything more than our waterboy its a bad deal. And please don't say a draft pick.

Oh I see what you're saying, but no I wouldn't trade anything for him. He's undersized and has a career total of 19 catches and no TD's

Being against trading for Stedman Bailey does not equate with being content with the Jets current WR corps. There are many FA wide outs of varying levels in the offseason, not to mention the draft.

He's not saying anything of the sort. What kind of logic are you using to come that conclusion.

Saying I don't want to drink my piss doesn't mean I would be happy to eat my shit.

No doubt, still see him as an upgrade over the bums like Chris Owusu, TJ Graham, Walt Powell, and Salim Hakim but no reason to have him as a plan A,B, or C plan.

It's not about Bailey it's about dismissing the idea of trading another pick for a receiver.

I'm pretty against shelling out a pick for a WR, I mean I wouldn't trade anything more than 7th rounder for Bailey if that, which would beg the question why are they so ready to let him go? I don't see a situation in which a WR is available for the right price... Although theoretically if Justin Blackmon is on the trade block I might toss a 7th to Jacksonville for him.

After last year I'm cool with throwing away 6th and 7ths all day. If Blackmon was available I'd be all over that.

Not every player on your team has to be a superstar.... There is a thing called a salary cap and you must allocate your resources accordingly. You have high paying superstars, then role players, depth players, and fringe players. You only get a certain amount of draft picks a year and must use them wisely and value them for what they are precious commodities. The idea of trading any pick for a guy that hasn't done anything in this league is just absurd and would be absolutely pointless and get us nowhere.

I am completely dismissing the idea of trading a pick for a wide receiver that is actually realistic. We have two high paid WRs on our team and it would be foolish to add another, as it would be foolish to draft one high considering our needs.

WR is the second most important position in the modern NFL. I hate that it has come to that but that's the way it is. Offense wins today and you pay for players to catch the ball downfield. Teams used to win with a QB and defense. Now, unfortunately, it's a QB and wideouts.

I would pass, too much cash. There are plenty of free agent WRs that we could sign to bolster our Corp for much cheaper than vjax.

    Jeremy Maclin
    Torrey Smith
    Dez Bryant (unlikely)
    Wes Welker
    Reggie Wayne
    Randall Cobb
    Hakeem Nicks

all of these guys would be solid pickups if the harvin experiment doesn't work out

Only three of these guys makes sense for our team in the direction we are going in. all three of them are going to re-sign with their current team for big bucks. We can't just wait until free agency. I'm not saying go trade a 4th for VJax but like the Harvin trade, if something comes along that's well worth it, you do it.

Didnt we freak on Tannenbaum for trading picks for players and then leaving us in a bad situation.

This is the same thing. Trading a midround pick for an aging mediocre WR is a terrible decision. We will need another receiver, whether its Amani Cooper or a FA.

Trading a pick would be a terrible decision IMO.

I would have a conniption if we traded a mid round pick for an old head. thus would make sense for a team who is one player away, not a year or two.
