oh my i didnt even realize there was all this chatter in the sancho thread. ill say this he is having his best season of his career this year! no ints, no pick 6s, no losses. he is doing exactly what he needs to do to help the team, sitting his ass on the bench watching. you know what the beauty is, i dont care what he does anymore. he doesnt matter anymore. i am glad he is gone. junc will never give up the fight, no matter what happens. he could go to the seahawks next year and lead them to a 4-12 season and junc would still tell us about how he was a top 10 type qb... what was the exact quote? oh it will be right down there in my signature.
some if us understand the game better than others. what will be funny will be the excuses given when he is helping another franchise to postseason while we stick w/ geno Smith.
Can we change the title? He's doing nothing in Philly... Maybe he'll get an opportunity to compete next season, but for now, he's doing nothing.
Probably would be an upgrade although I wouldn't mind Carr's potential upside. That said, just curious: which QBs would represent the "many others he'd be as good as" in your opinion?
Next season he won't get a chance in Philly............... because he will be STARTING for another team. No doubt about it.
Romo is killing it this year. And Stafford is doing a pretty damn good job without Megatron and despite being sacked 24 times
Romo has weapons Mark never had and he's always been a good #s guy. let's see what he does in big games. Stafford still has more weapons w/o Johnson than Mark had since 2010 and again let's see what he does in big games.
He's a RFA also, if they put a 2nd round tender on him or something like that, look for a team to bite. Even so, Bradford could also be available if Davis stays. Mark might be in the top of the 3 or 4 QBs available, but not the clear cut #1.
Mark would be well ahead of Bradford. if Davis keeps playing well he could be the flavor of the month and move to the top but at this moment Mark would be the #1 choice.
Not sure how "multiple" became 4-5. Also, where was the coach who said he would be starting for sure this past offseason?
he was released a month into FA, do you understand that? that report in Dec or January was based on him being released by or before the start of FA. there were 4-5 mentioned in the various articles. Philly, SL, Ten, NYG, Cle
At this moment, I think if Bradford is healthy and cut from the Rams, he would be the #1 option alongside Hoyer.
lol Bradford can't be a #1 option for anyone in 2015. Too injury prone. Hoyer will stay in Cleveland for sure, so Mark Sanchez will be the #1 starting QB target for 2015. No doubt in my mind. He still might have an opportunity to step in for Foles though. If that happens, who knows?
Now that Romo has a good O-line, running game, and a solid D and isn't expected to do everything himself I expect him to do well in big games. I think that a lot of this media-driven labeling of guys as "chokers" is unfair to guys who are expected to carry the team. (Other than Peyton of course, he is definitely a choker.) Of course that's if those things hold up. I keep waiting for the bottom to fall out on Dallas' D so we will see
We heard from Sanchez's agent there were 4-5 teams....okay...agents never lie. It would mean he was doing something on Philly other than eating chicken fingers...after all, the title of this thread is that he's kicking ass in philly....getting a backup job is kicking ass? Like I said, low expectations, low standards.
We'll see. I expect the veteran QB market to be kind of weak next season and at least one QB taken this year to be traded on as the team that took him goes for another QB in next year's draft. Manziel might not have long in Cleveland.
