They looked like garbage for the first half, but that is pretty typical for Bo Pelini led Nebraska. They need to run the table the rest of the season and try to win the Big 10 title against either Ohio State or Michigan State if they want to have any chance in the playoff. I would rather face MSU though.
I do think that if Notre Dame is to win a national title, it is next year. Everything should come together next year as long as they have the same QB.
And who the hell does Floriduh State play on their schedule every year? The ACC is a cupcake conference, and has been for the last 10 or so years. Oklahoma State and Clemson were the only tough games that they played.
Not saying that FSU has played a difficult schedule either. However when you go undefeated in a big 5 conference more often than not you're gonna make it to the national championship game. And FSU helped their case further last year by dominating their competition.
Last night's ND / FSU game was by far the best game of the season and was one of the greatest games I have seen in a long time. Alabama absolutely destroyed A&M. A&M has gone thru a Jets-like Gauntlet in the last 3 games. Baylor loses to West Virginia. Another unbeaten team goes down. Petty could use some help. BTW Petty and Cook are the top 2 QB's in the draft that I want the Jets to pick. Speaking of Cook,... Michigan St. dominates Indiana after a slow start. Mississippi (Ole Miss) also had a slow start but came back to dominate. TCU demolished Oklahoma St. I am very impressed with TCU despite blowing the game last week.
New AP Rankings are out Mississippi State is still #1 after an idle week Floriduhh State is still #2 after barely escaping Notre Dame after a lucky lucky flag Alabama is #4. Shocking that the pollsters have them in the top 5. Notre Dame fell to #7 Nebraska rose to #16. Should be 13 or 14, but as usual the pollsters love to crap all over the Huskers.
