JTrain put up probably the most level headed thought on this whole thing and I wanted to quote Mo in this too so you can SEE how a level headed person can clearly spell out the desperation in this. I've bold the really obvious ones. Now, after reading this I want you to go back and search and find out how many teams have traded away a marquee player, mid-season, over the last TWENTY years...I'll bet you don't come up with 5... THAT is why this is a desperation move. You have brought in a WR that doesn't know our offense, hasn't played with our players, mid-season, on a 1 & 6 team with no hope for the future of this season with a coach that is most likely going to be canned and the GM right along with him because the INTELLIGENT football NY Jets fans are smart enough to know that the GM has not just done a bad job but FAILED...F.A.I.L.E.D....FAILED at his objective! All the while snuggly sitting on $21 large while his fucking team gets their asses handed to them on a weekly basis. THAT is why this was a desperation move. Jesus...
This is so efffinggg confusing... Why the heck would you trade for a guy that is almost always hurt? Now please don't misunderstand me.... He's an awesome player when healthy but really... Percy? Why? We went from heart broken, made fun at work, jet fans...2 just dumb ass fans... Again why do I fall for the same tricks every year.... Fire this dumb GM!!! Bring in real football guys from On our team...
So there were widely known rumbling that came out after the trade. Smells like fan pacifying move, but even if true -- no problem, he can be cut after this year with no penalty.
And you keep stupidly pointing out the THREE very ridiculously structured years like they are some panacea! No one...and I mean NO ONE is going to drop $10.5 - $11 million large on a sometimes WR who has injury issues and will be lucky to catch 60 balls a year! Again...JESUS....

The "three more years" is irrelevant you moron. I've been hearing about "next year" for 45 years now. And some disgruntled asshole who is not going matter this year and who is hardly going to play for your oh so important three years does not excite me. Especially when THERE IS NO ONE TO THROW TO HIM even when he is playing. Your enthusiasm is admirable but dude, please.
Look, I won't deny that Idzik failed this off season. But, he couldn't have predicted that Milliner, Mcdougal, and Patterson would all not be on the team for one reason or another. I, and others can see what he was trying to do with the cap space. I will say, though, he could have done a better job at WR. I can forgive him for the CB situation. Maybe the Harvin move is his way of rectifying the situation. It might be a bit of a desperation move, I won't lie, but at least he's trying to fix the situation. Also, for the 100th time, Seattle is trying to clear cap room. Also, Seattle's teammates are reporting that they didn't like the Harvin trade at all. So, he must have not been as much of a cancer as some are saying.
Dude...we started with shit at the Corner position before training camp opened...go blow your brand of "we had talent to start the year" somewhere else. Hell, our supposed #1 was circumspect AT BEST! Ivory, Richardson and Decker are the ONLY pieces working at play here...every other clown he's brought in, including Geno Smith, is half assed at best....
That's a fair question that deserves a fair answer. Minus SD game Jets were close in every one of the losses. The biggest complain, mine too, was lack of TDs in the red zone. Now get Harvin here and can we agree that ... idk, let's say 1/3 of the FGs are turned into TDs? Now, you can't change the past, but going forward serviceable Harvin can easily mean the difference between 7-9 and 9-7 and a PO spot. We knew going in that first half will be bad. We still played only 1 division game and unlike you I'm don't believe it's over, not just yet. Do I think we are now PO- bound? No, but I like Jets chances much better now.
Yeah but the next to the last row. My own fault. I bought them online and there were two better seats about row 15 available but I must have hit the wrong key and wound up with row 25.
Maybe I'm smarter or just dumber than most but I don't need to 32 games and seeing a QB play with a better supporting cast to "know what I have in a QB". I don't think Geno sucks nor the TGG favorite "regressed". He is a QB who lacks anticipation, has bad footwork and a poor situational awareness and that's just on the field. While he has positives (i.e., above average athleticism, good not great arm talent, makes correct reads…etc.), the negatives are just not the kind I can live with in my QB. Most 2nd round QBs don't make it to the field so the Geno bust ship has already sailed. He's shown he belongs in the league but just not a starter IMO.
My avatar was set since new GM got here, long before Idzik made any moves. That's because I support Jets organization. I'll put a pentogram there if our next GM is Lucifer. I take your diversion to my choice of picture as admission that you'd prefer Jets to fail. Not surprising actually.
