Agreed. If we sign DT, our passing catching core would be DT-Decker-Harvin-Amaro-Cumberland. Kerley will probably not be resigned under this scenario unless he really takes a discount. Kerley would be a great #4 in this scenario.

We could focus more on O-line and CB in the draft. Maybe try to draft a QB somewhere who you're high on.

But it's moot, I don't see Dez or DT hitting free agency. I can see guys like Crabtree and Cobb doing so.

If he is a 10.5 million cap number next year and they carry over $20 million have of that $20 goes to Harvin. So half of the money they saved this year to carry over go to a kick returner that has played in 6 games in the last 23.

I'd go after Crabtree if he hits the market!

Wouldn't mind it either. Crabtree-Decker-Harvin would be very solid.

We don't know how good Julius would be without Peyton throwing to him. Plus, you never go for the TE over the WR.

I'll admit that i was completely wrong about this trade. That is a steal with high reward and little to no risk.

I love how now the rationale is 'no guaranteed money, we don't have to keep him!'. You know a trade's bad when giving up a fourth-rounder for a nine-game rental in a hopeless cause of a season is the UPside.

And as for the whole 'tryout' thing, we had Santonio cheap on a tryout too. How did that work out in the long run?

I think there's a chance Rex stays. Let's see how they finish the year now that the hard schedule is out of the way.

Yes but you think they are gonna spend. 6 million and a draft pick for a. 9 game tryout? They will have to renegotiate the remaining 40 million on his deal. If the guy was healthy all the time you would have more confidence but the guy is always hurt.

Holmes worked out fine, it's signing him to the extension that turned out to be the mistake.
