is Harvin the only way we could have upgraded our team this summer? no he is not. We needed CB's in the worst way, and more offensive firepower. Guys were available, and didn't cost draft picks.
depends on the compensation. I've heard conditional 2nd to a 4th. assuming the 4th is if he gets released after the season, is that worth the upside if he clicks and can get on the field regularly? I don't know the answer. everyone will have an opinion i'm sure
No exact financials out yet... Just heard 25 mill guaranteed and jets are in the hook for 6 but a fat $10 mil next year. That has to be fixed. Finally spent 50% of next years cap on a high end brad smith?
Basically no they did not, or at least not as much as they do now. Russell Wilson went from having a pretty good rookie year (directly after which they signed Harvin) to a SB winning season. The large role that Richard Sherman and Earl Thomas played in winning that SB got them even bigger deals than one would have expected before the SB win, and winning a SB will do exactly the same for Wilson except more so.
bruh, we get dez or dt or cooper yes. we got 3 top wr and a nice rb combo. people cant just stack the box no more
We spent 30 mil on him? Know the numbers first. Our cap number from this year carries over and with all the other contracts off the books we would've had nearly 60 mil in cap space. Now we have what? 50? Yeah nothing can be done with that.
a 2nd seems steep, and 4th seems more than reasonable. my guess is it ends up right in the middle at a 3rd.... whether its worth it depends on how he does. we'll see.. hard to step right in a be a stud before knowing the playbook.
So Russ wasn't a Seahawk on March 11, 2013? He didn't make the Pro Bowl? Seriously idiots like you really need to stop telling other people how they sound.
For the record...Pete Carroll has a defensive background. And Darrell Bevell is a QB coach. His overall Offense is incredibly simple. So your assertion that Pete Carroll or the Seahawks are somehow a superior offensive mind than Marty "I've had Top 10 NFL Offenses for 6 Years" Mornhinweg is laughable.
He was coming off his rookie year where the Seahawks got bounced in the divisional round. You think the Seahawks were thinking, "huh, we better not make ANY moves because we might have to pay this guy $15 mil two years from now"? Be logical. For everyone else's sake at least.
its gonna cost a shit ton to get DT but if we resign the players we need and just sign DT i would be so happy. couple reasons why DT is most realistic 1) Him and deker are like brothers, DT would take care of his baby and like live with them 2) If peyton retires, a bunch of FA may leave that team 3) we got the cap space then draft all CB's
The part that disappoints me is how we waited till we were 1-6 to pull this move, had we done this say after the Chargers game it may have helped us against Denver and New England.
He played one season, and did play well. He was a pro bowl alternate. They can't have known how much they were going to have to pay Wilson, Thomas, and Sherman, because being a big part of a SB win boosts a players barging power a shit ton. Flacco got a mega deal for that exact reason.
Don't worry I have a retarded cousin and he can't really form words either. He makes the "pffft" noise a lot because he likes how it sounds like a fart, also he says "uhhhhhhhh" a lot. Just know that you're in good company.
