I know everyone is aware we are terrible in the red zone on offense, but it crazy how we may have a good defense apparently but are actually pathetic in RED ZONE DEFENSE.

SNY guys just said we are 30th in the red zone defensively...That says alot about how we play in key moments

A pair of rankings that perfectly embodies a bad football team.

    Rex called an amazing game.

Our cornerbacks are practice squad talent.

28th in the league in the 2 minute drill on defense as well. I feel like Rex's D is only good when he can be the aggressor. But when he has to just play coverage without substituting the defense is trash.

The red zone deficiencies epitomize what this team is all about. The red zone is all about matchups since everything is condensed. The Jets are over matched against anyone they are playing, and anyone who is playing us, it's a mismatch. Zero playmakers in either end zone.

Yeah we're bad... Not a shocking stat from a 1-6 team, we don't score when we're in the red zone and we let the others walk it in. This is how 1-6 teams are built.

Because our defenders don't understand the idea of hugging/playing the goal line and that any space given will be taken advantage of.

This defense is really garbage, I don't care how you slice it. We get no turnovers, can't stop the other team on their final drive or in the red zone, 27th in total defense, 29th against the pass, 25th in points given up. We're 6th against the run mainly because teams throw all over us, and when teams have wanted to run against us they have.

Sorry but this Rex defense is terrible, we're 1-6, that's the reality.

2011 2nd in red zone efficiency -- last season 27th...this year 30th. Geno just doesn't execute in the red zone. teams crowd the box, stop the run, make geno make a quick read or throw with touch or fit a ball into a tight window...he can do neither. he has big bodies that can block out a defender, guys that can dump over a CB, guys that can beat a LB and he just can't get it done.

What a difference...2011 to now. All about efficiency.

only New Orleans has fewer takeaways than the Jets have managed this season and only 4 teams have given it away more than the Jets - this all points to a lack of talent more than a problem with coaching or play calling - the skills just are not there.
