I dont think our coordinators are that bad. I just dont think we have the talent needed to succeed.

Don't dare say things like that. My worst fear is for them to get between 6 or 8 wins and Woody give Rexik another year together.

The DC is useless since Rex runs the offense. As for MM - are you impressed with his play calling?

    Agree about the DC.

I think MM doesn't have the talent

Dont disagree about the talent. However, do you think he has called good games? In weeks 2 and 3, when we could and should have won, some of his play calling, especially in the redzone, was awful.

If we got the talent maybe some of those play calls are good. Talent goes a long way in this league.

Agreed. But I think MM is a guy who loves to throw the football, thats what he believes in. I agree he should conform to what he has but he just doesnt have the talent to do what he wants to do on offense.

    Aaaannnddd...Bump!

That asinine call to onside kick was the difference in this game...well ONE of the differences at least. But, in the moment...the KEY difference. The other two key CS fuckups were the two lost time outs...clearly with the team not on the same page in the 3rd god damn quarter right after half time. <sigh>

The onside kick was the correct call. How many times do you need to see this defense blow it trying to close out a game? We have seen them time and time again play very good but unable to do shit on the very last drive so i wouldnt leave it in their hands. Also, Tom Brady is trying for a first down to ice the game on that last drive if we kickoff and not just run 3 straight times. With the failed onside kick, the Pats dont think the Jets are driving 50 yards to score anyway if they punt.

When will that fucktard John Idzik get his? had he gotten off his ass and spent a little bit they would be 3-4 at the worst tight now, but they are 1-6 now thanks to that fuckbag

1 timeout at the end. While I love him as a defensive coordinator his game management is atrocious. It seems like every game the Jets have at most one timeout in 2 minute situations. They got lucky in 09 and 10 in those situations but it's catching up to them.

It's hard to support Rex here. While I love that he can field a consistent unit on the defensive side of the ball which not many HC's can do he just can't manage a game. If only the Jets could keep him as a D coordinator and give the HCing responsibilities to someone else...

3-4! Superbowl bound at 3-4! Let's spend cap to be mathematically in contention for the playoffs by week 16!

This is spot on. That second to last drive should have been no huddle. We are always left at the end of games with no timeouts. We should have had at least 2 minutes on that last drive if Rex could handle the clock. He's a DC, nothing more.

I'm not a Rex fan but I think this one is a game you really can't hang on him.
Not perfect, but I've seen so much worse from him.
Can't argue with your points though.

He had the team ready to play on a short week. Can't blame him for a lack of talent at the skill positions on both sides of the ball. This isn't the work of a coach who deserves to be given a pink slip any time soon.
