i mostly posed the question to gauge what Jets fans (well, at least this board) think of Geno. but if i just said "what do u guys think of geno" it probably wouldn't have led to any interesting conversation. so i threw in a hypo with a rookie this year. from what i see, bobbygm and doubledecker are the two guys who favor geno.

This thread is pointless, just like the other 400 threads about how terrible Rex, Idzik, and Geno are. We all have preferences as to who we want at QB. Personally I wanted to draft Johnny Football but it didn't happen and neither did Derek Carr. There's no point in destroying guys who we are suppose to cheer for every week when there's nothing we can do about it.
I'm not ready to give up on Geno yet. He's still salvagable IMO. He played well against Denver he needs to be consistent every week and just play within himself.
Id tell Wilson to kick rocks. I know damn well Rex is just sick of seeing him on tape at this point fing up.

If GM for the day: (Since we're dreaming, Anything goes right?) Some of the things I would do, but then I hate Idzik, Rex, Smith and Vick. 1st, make the trade, no question (Carr>>>>>Smith) 2nd, Tell Idzik to pack his bags, he won't be coming back after I leave. 3nd, Fire Rex, just to make sure he isn't around next year. 4rd, Promote MM to HC. Yes he is not the answer, hell far from the answer, but would be better for Carr's developement this year than Rex. 5th, Cut Vick to get him out of here and Promote Simms from the PS bak to #2 QB. 6th, Cut Johnson or any other older vet that would free up more cap space for next year. Let the young guys get a fair shot or at least some tape time. 7th, Hire my replacement GM, Nick Caserio (Patriots Director of Player Personnel). He has played and coached in football. A football guy with great finance ability. 8th, Tell Caserio to clean house at the end of the season and to pick his own HC he will live or die by.
