It's unbelievable. This team is due for a season of like +30 TO differential. It's insane how few turnovers we force, especially when you consider how solid our pass rush has been. Serious question for anyone who happens to read this post: How many interceptions have we dropped over the last two years? I'd seriously love to know. It seems like 90.
75 percent of turnovers are created in the secondary. Your average team throws 13 - 14 interceptions per season and loses about 5 fumbles per year. We have no talent in the secondary. Hell we can't even get an interception when one is handed right to us. All the D-Line can do is get sacks, force the QB to get the ball out faster, and get a strip fumble recovery a couple of times per season. We can't rely on them getting a turnover every game.
Patriots are very beatable. We can whoop on them one good time for those good old "we beat yall though" bragging rights.
If we recovered fumbles and didn't drop ints we'd be alright. Terrible luck on fumbles and terrible execution on ints
Izik decided to hold back 20 turnovers and roll them over next year. The good news is we start next season +20 on TOs. Not tooooo shabby
Weather.com says 100% chance of rain. I'd like it if we could keep the Pats ok the ground without Ridley
Alright im going to say it now. Jets will win on Thursday due to the pressure brady will receive and our te and rbs scoring.
Then GangGreen Goes wild and starts posting Superbowl predictions and how its a new season after the BYE
I honestly dont see us fing up on Thursday. Theyll play hard for Rex im sure and playinh against the leagues best player(s) seems to get them going.
The luster of beating the patriots has worn off for me. If the Jets knew how to build off the momentum of beating the patriots it would be a different story. If they win Thursday night (big if) they will most likely turn around and lose against the Bills.
Alright alright hear me out. If we lose we're 1-6 and the season's over. But if we can win, we're 2 games back of the Pats with another game against them. If we won that then we'd make up 1 of the 2 games. Then, here's our schedule and theirs: us: BUF, KC, PIT, BUF, MIA, MIN, TEN, NE, MIA. them: CHI, DEN, IND, DET, GB, MIA, NYJ, BUF We would only have to outplay them by 1 game over that stretch, by virtue of tiebreaker. We have a very small chance. But it's a chance. Fucked if we lose Thursday though. Commence shitting on my optimism
If we win this game Thursday and beat the bills the following week we might find some life in the season. We'll be 3-5, 2-0 in the division Dolphins play chicago, JAX, SD i'll give them 1-2 in that stretch. 3-5, 1-1 in the division If we beat NE then Bills, buffalo plays Minnesota, jets, then bye week. I say the beat the vikes.. They'll be 4-4, 1-2 in the division. New England plays us, chicago, then Denver. 1-2 snagging one against the other two opponents. 5-3, 1-2 in the division. We'll be in contention again as our schedule eases up a little ( no more top 10 qb's at least til Brady in December). The other 3 teams in our division starts getting into their tougher parts of the schedule. Sounds like a reach but beating the pats and buffalo is possible. Keep hope alive people (please dont respond with negativity.. Let me dream if anything)
That is all well and good in theory. But Geno needs to improve to a around the 20th best QB in the league in order for the team to compete. Right now he is the worst in the league.
