1 tackle, no pressures. babin actually played more snaps. Yeah, Rex your linebacker experiment really worked. Coples and Millner = back to back wasted #1 picks. But Rex is a defensive genius, right?

Play him at DE or trade him IMO. Run a 4-3

he didn't play a lot because we were in nickel most of the game… relax i know coples isn't getting sacks…but he is getting a lot of hurries and hits….coples isn't a 10 sack guy but a solid 5-6 sacks a year guy its fine!

Given the amount of control some people seem to think Rex has over every aspect of this team its a wonder that Woody bothers to pay a GM, scouts or any other member of the FO

    Coples is doing just fine.

Didn't have a good game yesterday but overall he has been very good for the Jets.

He's 3rd in the league among 3-4 OLB's in QB hurries with 15, there are two tied at the top with 19 (Dwight Freeny and Ryan Kerrigan). But because he doesn't have a lot of sacks people don't think he's playing well.

The sack is so overrated it's ridiculous. It's not the be all end all judgement of a player. Coples hasn't been great but the guy is a clear player in this league.

Coples got some QB hits yesterday - I wish he finished that one play on Peyton, he had him sacked. If a new coach comes around, tough to see what will happen to Coples. I like the guy.

exactly..everyone thinks because there a 1st round pick they have to be a pro bowler or there a bust…be happy he's not a super star or we would have to pay a lot to keep everyone…he a above average solid player who never messes up plays

Coples is a good player. Of all the shit going wrong this season you pick Coples to fixate on? OK.

i just think it's hilarious how someone can show a stat about how coples is clearly a fine player and isn't lazy, but people still have the need to completely ignore it and say he is lazy even though they have no clue who he is as a person and just have their own agenda

Coples is such an odd player to fixate on this year.

I looked online for info on Antonio Allen but couldn't find much other than a quote by him when asked where he's going to play safety or corner and he said he doesn't know. Any explanations on his usage against Denver and how many snaps did he play.

Go to thejetsblog.com there's an article on the usage of the secondary. He was a nickle safety.

My one problem with Coples is that I dont understand why the Jets don't use him as more of a pass rusher.

because most teams don't spend a #1 pick on a player and play him in a new position in the pros. The guy is a 4-3 DE and our stupid coach plays him as a LB. Richardson and Wilkerson would also be even better in a 4-3 but Rex makes the player s fit HIS system instead of adjusting to the player's strength.
