This. Why was our #1 CB coming off an injury on the FG D team. There is a 45 man roster on game days. It is almost criminal that Milliner was out there. Now maybe this injury is going to happen no matter what, but this appears to be on the CS.
to tell you the truth, I don't care if we actually play with 9 guys on defense next year, I want to draft some fucking offensive players next draft
Don't really care to hear of any news of Milliner anymore. Let him sit out the rest of season and if he can manage to return next season at any capicity, that's a positive. However, we should definitely not chalk him up as a starter any longer. Its a lost cause.
They needed 2 CB's before Milliners injury. The guy played 2 good games at the end of last season and all of a sudden they're fitting him for a bust in Canton. Screw Milliner torn Achilles or not.
More brilliant coaching by everyones savior Rex Ryan. Maybe we'll see Geno replace him next week for that spot .
Very asinine to have had Dee out there. Was no reason for a player of his importance to the already gaunt secondary + his injury history. If I were Rex, I wouldn't bother having him play should he be back sooner than expected.
Maybe b/c he's one of the fastest guys on the team coming off the edge trying to get a block? I don't know.
he's been nursing a soft tissue injury all season. why risk him for an extremely low percentage play? it's just really poor judgement IMO. not that anyone is surprised by Rex's poor judgment at this point.
Does nothing for this season, but Rex having to come up with 3 DBs and playing them 16 games will only make our secondary that much better next season when our true starters come back healthy.
I hear what you're saying but we see this all the time from top coaches....didn't The Gronk break his arm blocking for a extra point? I think Westcoff started it by demanding any player he wanted on special teams, getting his way, and fielding a top Teams year after year. Other teams saw this and copied maybe? Plus it might have been game situational decision, like when we put Cro out there returning kick offs. Who know...I'm sure someone will ask him at the podium
this was another piss poor draft pick by our franchise. we had just dumped revis because we didn't want to pay him and we use a top ten pick on the same position. so what if milliner turned out to be as good as revis, would we have paid him? or dumped him too?? just shows, we don't know what we are doing on any front with this franchise.....zero clue.... we should have paid revis and used this pick to improve another position that was in dire need of help. now, we have no revis and no milliner and basically zero cb's who weren't or shouldn't be working at Walmart.
It's kind of ironic that our team's greatest weakness is being exacerbated by a torn Achilles. Just saying.
This sucks, Milliner wasn't just suppose to be a starting corner he was suppose to be a major part of our secondary for 10 plus years. A top 10 pick that won't play is the same as a guy who plays and turns out to be a bust (Vernon). Things like this derail a franchise.
Cavs owner can forgive and forget Lebron James, who severely fucked that city and organization, but our deadbeat owner couldn't forgive Revis, who was a model teammate and deserved to be paid as the best corner in the league.......
Both our "true starters" are coming off terrible knee injuries and both were big ? to begin with before these injuries. This team is a runaway train.
