I just hope they actually plan the season to work around the entire storyline arc instead of having it completely change directions half way through again.
Psyched for the premier of season 6 tonight. I read the first five minutes are extremely intense, trailer looks great, should be good.
Thought that was a great priemere. I forget the name of the guy who was revealed at the end of the episode, but that was crazy.
Loved the episode but I do think they failed on one front: they were clearly trying to build sympathy for the people of Terminus by showing the kind of horrible stuff they had to go through but I had no sympathy for them. I mean I felt bad for the people while they were innocent getting raped and whatnot but I don't think that in any way justifies the crap that they were doing. Like the guy in the crate (who I'm assuming is one of the guys that took Terminus from them and was involved in the raping) they released said: They are the same. Sidenote: love badass Rick, so much better than the wimpy farmer Rick.
I don't think the point was to sympathize with them, but rather to show that they were once in the same position as Rick's group and to see how far they have fallen. Rick is pretty ruthless at the moment. While he may not be ready for cannibalism, it isn't hard to imagine him being a cold blooded killer....he is right at that doorstep now. Plus, I don't think we have seen the last of the Terminans. So, there might be more to that story. Regardless, that was easily on of the best episodes ever....maybe the very best.
I loved that too, especially since it happened after the trailer for next week's episode. You're watching thinking "what's this now?" I thought it was a commercial then you see the dude from the first season, great throwback.
We definitely haven't seen the last of the Terminians, they were in a bunch of the extended trailers for the season. I think on the one hand it was an extremely satisfying episode but also very much out of character. Satisfying in that in very very short order, literally the whole crew (other than Beth) is back together but so strange given how spread out some of the characters have been, how hopeless their collective plight was just 60 minutes before. That episode could have stretched out over 2-3 episodes but they crammed it all into one. Good job. Btw, I may be in a minority here but I think Morgan's return is somewhat gimmicky. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy he's back but it just seems so farfetched and not really necessary. Kind of like if in The Sopranos had they brought back the crazy Russian guy Paulie and Christopher lost in the Pine Barrens. _
Did you guys notice before the episode ended she was all clean and showered before seeing her friends ?
Fair enough, maybe it was being used to show the differences in the decisions: 1) The Terminus people were held in the same box and ended up ruthless murderers and cannibals 2) Rick and his crew were held in but still put themselves at risk to save that other guy from the box That being said, like you noted, Rick is pretty much on that threshold right now. Still, I don't really blame him as you know that those people are what they are and that means that other innocent people are going to be their victims.
Yeah, there was a big crate clearly marked "Pumpkin Spice Exfoliating Scrub" right next to one of the smokers. _
