going 8-8 hurt us so bad last year..it made everyone think we were on the rise and a decent team when we weren't
There's really no guarantee that the #1 pick is better than, say, the #8 pick this year. No one knows is Mariotta is #1 good yet and there's a long road before we get to that discussion. Same thing happened with Geno, JFF, Teddy B, and many other QBs. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a legit lockdown top 5-8 cornerback, either, but perhaps a WR like Cooper or someone else who blows up. WR depth is decent this year. My biggest fear is drafting an OL and it being a bust. I'd rather go down swinging for the fences if the OL is just mediocre.
as of right now..i think mariota is #1 pick..things change tho…at this time bridgewater was the #1 pick..he had a awful pro day and dropped down to 32…and 2 years ago geno was a top 10 pick at this time…. well see
Can't worry about draft position because there are some truly bad football teams ahead of us - as crazy as that sounds, as long as Rex is here we are not worse than Jacksonville, Oakland, Washington and Tampa Bay. Those teams also have serious issues.
You apparently haven't seen any Washington games. Marcus Peters is a top 10 CB and not the Milliner kind.
I need to see more but in the small samples we've had (pre-season and today) it sure looks that way which begs the question why Winters continued to be ahead of him on the depth chart.
One of many reasons I feel it's time for Rex to go...... I love the guy and I'm a big supporter of his..... But if you watch what's going on, I mean really watch, it's really freaking hard to defend some of his moves.
