I think we will win on a Nick Folk field goal as time expires.

Decker against Revis should be fun.

    Fuck the second one.

With the Jets luck if we end Brady's career Garoppolo will step in and dominate the division for the next decade.

We were in this game, didn't get blown out.. Until Geno did what Geno does..

But we just aren't good enough, guys.. We also got a lot of help from Denver from a bunch of stupid penalties from them.. Enjoy 1-6 after Thursday...

I am glad that this game doesn't start until the early hours of the morning over here so no temptation to watch.

damn but this season is turning out so much worse than I had expected - the lack of anything approaching a decent secondary is just killing us (on top of an anemic offense that is)

    Patriots update:

Lost our starting LG to a concussion - short week, don't expect him to play

Lost Mayo presumably for the season, feared torn ACL at first glance, second opinion via twitter:
Lost Ridley, presumably for season, feared torn/sprained ACL/MCL

    Our team is hurting.

The good news is that Stork, our starting C (missed the game vs Buffalo with concussion suffered in practice) should return. Browner has a chance to return, he hurt his ankle during practice as well. Gronkowski took a beating in the Bills game, cuts and welts all over him, but he's been progressing each week and looks to be 85-90% of himself. He should have had another 15-20 yards and a TD but they were negated, which is where one of LaFells 2 TD's came into play.

LaFell looks like a legitimate receiver over the past 3 weeks, giving the Pats a hard to stop trio of Gronk (18 for 225, 12.5ypc,2 TD), Edelman (18 for 149, 8.2ypc), and LaFell (11 for 236, 21.4ypc 3 TD) over the past 3 games. The deep ball was back on display against Buffalo, Brady was accurate on every pass I can recall throwing deep, Tyms caught his bomb for a 43 yard TD, Edelman and Gronkowski both had their hands on deep shots that were incomplete due to interference calls.

The running game took a back seat against Buffalo due to being ineffective and the Bills showing no ability of stopping the pass. I expect a similar gameplan against the Jets, I don't see Vereen, Bolden, and White having success running on them unless the pass sets up the run.

Everything says blowout against the Jets, with the Pats passing game back in high gear, Jets losing Milliner on top of an already porous pass defense, but this game also screams "let down" for NE, the Jets always play the first game of the series VERY tight, no matter how hard the odds are stacked against them.

I can't see NE losing at home, but I also can't predict a blowout.

I just want a competitive, injury free game, for both sides.

NE wins 24-17. Good luck, Jets.

People keep talking about how terrible our corners are, but in reality, they have been very meh, overall. The biggest issue this team has is the same issue they have had over the entire Rex Ryan era . . . an offense that can't consistently move the ball and can't consistently score points.

This is going to be another rough one. We only have 2 real receiving threats in Amaro and Decker. I expect Revis to remove Decker from the game. I havent watched a bunch of Pats games this year. Does anyone know if Revis has been shadowing receivers?

If he is then we need guys like Amaro and Kerley to step up. We need them to step up anyway but even more so.

I think the Pats will win fairly comfortably. Jets simply don't have the fire power to keep up with these good QB's who will destroy our weak secondary. To flawed of a team.

I mean with the way the division is, somehow this game is actually still meaningful. Jets could pull within 2 games?

I thought today would be our final stand but with the Patriots injuries, the Dolphins losing, Bills losing to New England. Thursday is our final stand, at least a game still worth watching.

A win would be nice, but I won't get overexcited if it happens.

This season is over to me.

Our O-Line gains a sense of pride and starts doing their jobs on Thursday. They start run blocking well again against a soft D.
We run and keep the ball away from both Brady and That Traitorous Fuck DB.
When Brady has the ball, our D line keeps him on the turf or running for his life.
Walls and Fake Revis played fairly well against much greater competition than they'll see in NE.
AA will be on the field a lot to cover Gronk or RBs coming out into the flats. Vereen and Gronk will torch our D mercilessly if Harris plays full time.
    We'll win in convincing fashion.
We'll be so hopeful for the rest of the season.
We'll promptly falter and then only win enough games to fuck us out of a good draft spot.
In other words, we play Jets football on Thursday!

He has shut down AJ Green and Watkins the last two weeks.

Not having seen him every week before this year, it's his run defense that really impresses! Takes away the edge.

1-6 baby! Tom will make Rex his bitch on Thursday. One game closer to Rex and Idzik being gone and a high draft pick.

Maybe Revis can get a couple pick six from Geno, since he like giving them out.
