Just speculation right now but Brian Bassett on twitter nailed it. If Milliner does have a severe achilles injury the Jets have to plan on moving forward without him going forward. If he comes back strong and produces it's a plus. But as of right now the Jets have to operate under the premise that they need 2 new corners going into next year.
Milliner has had a shoulder, ankle, now possibly achilles and McDougle was a third round pick who has missed most of his last two seasons. Injury prone or not you can't be counting on either one right now. Assuming Milliner's injury is bad.
The one knock on DM before the draft was that he had injury concerns....seems we should have listened.
We spent a top 10 draft pick on a corner who not only sucks when he plays, but is the most brittle player in recent memory
I still feel like he's not that bad WHEN he plays, dating back to the final month of last season. He got torched in the GB game but he clearly wasnt ready and he actually looked good against SD. Problem is it's hard to get a real evaluation on the guy when he's always banged up.
Man, we've spent a first round pick on three corners (Revis, Dee and K Wilson) and a 2nd (Cromartie), and all we have to show for it is Kyle Wilson...
Yep. Exactly. We don't have a starting caliber corner on this team right now. And you could argue whether Milliner was really starting caliber when healthy. The hits just keep on coming....
