Junior college transfer Duke Williams (6-2, 216) playing his first year with Auburn and looks like a beast!

If he declares he has to be on our radar. Has size and so far production.

I've mentioned D'haquille "Duke" Williams in another thread or forum. Good job bringing up Williams. Exciting player with an excellent size/speed ratio. Williams is a definite play maker, needs to get a little bigger and more physical, but has tremendous potential.

Had himself a game today against a stout Miss St secondary. Definitely has tremendous upside.

The guy is HUGE. The most physically gifted WR I have seen. BUT, granted I only saw one game (vs KSU), he had a lot of drops...is he a mentally tough player?

So do you waste a top 3-4 pick on a WR or do you take the franchise
QB and grab a guy like this or one of the other stud WRs that are going to be available at the top of round 2.

Btw, that was not a question addressed to anyone who has recently changed their avatar to a WR adorned in crimson attire.

If we miss on Mariotta I don't mind going WR-WR or WR-RB (if that RB is a good one).

Why RB? RB is as strong this year as WR was in 2014. Draft into the strength of the class imo.

It's only a waste if it's not Cooper.

Still a waste. If you pass up a franchise QB.

You take Mariotta then your WRs, like Jacksonville did by going Bortles, Lee and A-Rob.

Well, when there's a sure thing one of these years, let me know. I don't see evidence of one this year.

So you think a 6-1 lesser version of Sammy Watkins is 6-5 Megatron 2.0? A sure HOFer?

You don't pass up a franchise QB for a 6-1 decent WR.

    You gamble on the QB.

Duke should stay another year, imo. He needs to improve his route running.

Bortles is so freaking trash in my opinion - I would much rather have Watkins / Mike Evans then Bortles. Jags got so lucky with Allen Robinson, Hurns and Lee. They always manage to find good receivers in the draft.

Duke had a nice game against Bama in the iron bowl and he wasn't even completely healthy. His athleticism is similar(not quite the same level) as his teammate Coates, but he provides a lot more in terms of hands. Coates reminds me a little of stephen hill in that he is all athleticism and is basically identified as a vertical threat only at this point in his career by the entire scouting community. Duke on the other hand has very good athleticism and size(as does coates) at 6'2 but he also consistently makes tough catches and has significantly better hands. I'm hoping to grab Mariota(if its still possible) in the first and then maybe duke in the second i think that would be great for our offense. If mariota is out of the question then id look at cooper, ogbuehi, and gregory and then moving on to take a qb in the second(maybe brett hundley). Honestly though if Geno doesnt look awful for the rest of the season I would be ok waiting until the later rounds for qb if mariota is gone. That day where he was just awful and benched I heard that they were making the calls for which throw for him and if you rememeber there were problems with his headset in the helmet.

Really hoping the Duke williams hypetrain doesnt start to take off because i could totally see that happening and him going in the fist. Also, Idzik was at the iron bowl so possible prospects he was looking at were probably: Duke, Coates, Kris Frost, Cooper, Yeldon, Artis-Payne, Landon Collins amongst others im sure. Also should note that Idzik went to see pryor in person when they were starting to get hot for him so maybe one of these guys really has started to catch the scouting departments eye.
