pathetic, i love double a but we're setting him up to fail. we're too cheap and lazy to go out there and actually do something about it, just like keeping rex
That's true, but I wasn't referring to just that one play. He seems like he's always a step behind every guy he covers since week one, is all.
Maybe it's because he's a safety. I'm not expecting the guy to turn into a solid corner overnight. I'm expecting the HC who calls the defense to put him in a situation to succeed. That is exactly what isn't happening.

well, hopefully next year and neither Rex nor Thurman are employed by the Jets, he can get back to his proper position ( pssst it aint corner) and he can continue to progress like he was LAST year
not well but it worked well last year against NO and he was definitely improving quickly as a safety....this year playing corner and then playing safety can be difficult. His defensive genius coach hasn't done him any favors
surely if you've been covering WR's all season, but your strength is allegedly covering TE's from the S position, matching up with an old Gates shouldn't be that difficult no? you got what you asked for, and it still didn't look very good. the reason he was playing CB to begin with was the fact we have no one else.. Philip Adams may be our starter this week if Walls can't go. Let that sink in for a minute. your grasping for things to complain about by blaming Allen's CB play on the coaches. it was out of desperation more than anything. I'm sure their preference was to see if he can be a S..
