Id play zone to, put 8 men back and just move them all over the place. Attempt to confuse Peyton, put a guy on the left side and then have him move into the middle, have the people in the middle go to the outside, etc. Try everything and change it up every play.
Eh, I wouldn't get my hopes up on something being up. It's a reasonable line. NFL teams tend to play a lot better than the week before coming off of a blowout loss (even bad teams) and we are at home.
It's funny that all Jets fans are doom and gloom (Including myself), but the truth is this would be a tough stretch for any team. Packers, Bears, Lions, Chargers, Broncos, and Patriots is not easy. Before heading into it I would have been fine with splitting these games (3-3). Now, of course, starting it (0-4), I would love a (2-4) finish to the stretch. Highly unlikely. (0-6) is the most likely. Just a buzz saw for Rex and the Jets. Bad luck in scheduling, call it what you want, but the Jets could be dead headed into Week 8. Unfortunate, but true. The problem is more how they have lost these games, than actually losing. The Packers, Bears and Lions games were all winnable if not for terrible mistakes, then add a cherry on top by looking pathetic in San Diego, and here we are.................
On Sunday it will be a long day for the defense. Rex should give them Saturday off. Maybe they could all go catch a movie like: Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day so that they can be prepared for the game.
I just want to see some competence, this looked like a loss for the longest anyway, just score on a few drives, find an offensive rhythm and get ready for new england. confidence, its needed all over, the bleeding has to stop.
I agree, I don't expect a win but I want to see some plays being made. Milliner and Decker will both play, which is very helpful. I've got my eye on Harris' injury as well. These next two weeks will go a long way in Rex's case for another year, either positively or negatively. He had better inspire the guys for a huge game, even if they ultimately lose
It would almost make it all worth it if Milliner and Decker played well these next two games. Just to see two key pieces proving their worth their investment would make my day.
Omg Denver is finding their stride? Understate much? They have the best QB that has ever played the game.
He forgot to mention Rex walking away from the sideline camera with clean shorts. This will be the worst beat down in the history of this team. I truly believe that. And hopefully that's the karma needed for them to keep it close. Because I suck at predicting games.
The Jets have had a horrendous blowout style game in other seasons but bounced back, last year against Cincy for example. I won't assume we are truly unraveling until we have a couple of those games. There have been issues in the other games but we've been competitive until that one. Not to mention the Chargers literally might be the best team in the league this year.
No we have great cover CBs and safeties with range so we should play mostly Cover 1, 3 and the occasional 0.
