Do we really want to draft another QB destined to fail? We have no skill position help, and no offensive line...... Fix that then get a QB, otherwise we will be just as pissed with Mariota as we are with Geno or where with Sanchez.

Seems like we're always grabbing a position in the weak draft class... and find a way to miss out on the strong classes... what a joke man yet it hurts bad !

Like this past offseason. Strongest WR class in almost 20 years... WR is the team's biggest need by far. Such a no brainer. What do they do? Draft a safety.

That's backwards thinking. If you have a shot at Mariota, run to the dais then sit him for a year at a minimum.

If no Mariota, WR in round 1 and Mannion in the second. And sit HIM for a year minimum.

And i think this is a problem with BPA, you may get another D-lineman for the practice squad, but it neglects what you really need on game day.

Right about now, every position on the OL needs at least a good depth guy. The offseason should consists of Offensive Lineman, Corners and WR's..,,

I agree. I think you can't just have strict policy. You weigh each option.

I think teams without glaring needs can afford to go BPA. This team just so happened to have glaring needs and they were ignored. That's not a sound policy..especially when the players in the need positions were very good prospects in their own right. It's one thing to ignore need if drafting for that need would mean reaching hard for a player. That wasn't the case this year at all.

Imagine Decker, Cooper, Amaro, a big time FA and Kerley

That's assumptive that we knew the Jets depth board, which if Bridgewater wasn't the top pick on the board the scouting department needs to be fired.

    FUCK MARCUS MARIOTA, FUCK OREGON.
    :D

Watch their games and realize it's the system that makes him good. Pressure his stupid ass even a little and his brain turns into jello.

Sure he can run, but's getting owned by guys named Scooby in College, imagine NFL defenders?

It is Amari Cooper. Focus on Amari Cooper

So who is the QB for next season. You really want Smith and Vick still? Draft a QB if we get a chance.

Definitely draft a QB somewhere. Sign someone as well. Cant go into next season with Geno as the favorite.

I'm just not a huge believer in Mariota. I havent gotten to watch enough of him, its just a gut feeling. Throwing Mariota out there with the team as currently constructed, he would flounder.

I think you can be strict with your BPA policy if after the FA season all your big glaring needs are met.

Rather go in with a FA or trade for a QB than waste another first rounder on one... I mean when was the last time we drafted a franchise QB at least if we bring in Cooper a vet WR with Decker and Amaro there won't be anymore Geno has no talent around him or whoever else we do plug in excuse

This wording is exactly why I think Idzik is a moron. I feel the same way, that we need two good receivers still which places Decker as a $35M #3 WR. Anyone that though he was a #1 is smoking crack. On only a few teams would he even be a #2WR. Just like Smith, who could only be thought of a starter for the Jets, because after last year no other team would have even though of starting him. Then we sign Vick and say he could compete for the starting job, when no other team was even offering him a backup QB job. Idzik signs shit and tries to sell it to the fans as gold. Idzik has no clue on players or talent and should be fired. Woody should get a refund from the company that help select the fool.
