Not sure what to think about McDonagh as the captain. He might still be a little too young for it. Don't like the idea of four alternate captains. There should have been two, and those two should have been Girardi and Staal who were alternate captains with Richards last season.

These seem to be the lines that we'll see for the first game.

    Kreider-St. Louis-Nash
    Hagelin-Brassard-Zuccarello
    Duclair-Miller-Stempniak
    Glass-Moore-Fast

I don't like the 4 alternate captains either, 2 is fine Girardi and Staal...I think McD will be a good captain

    Hockey's Future Talent Analysis:
"McIlrath is a nasty, in your face NHL defenseman, who won't back down and can clear the crease for his netminder. Not afraid to fight or just intimidate, McIlrath has a good shot and his puck distribution has been improving, but he needs to improve his skating and defensive positioning."

If you're a Rangers fan and this kid don't excite you, try another sport!

The Rangers have announced that Kevin Hayes will wear #13 for the Rangers and that Jesper Fast will wear #19.

Is Glass protection just in case? Jets and Blues were in the top 10 last year in PIM and fighting majors.

Fortunately we have also have Rick "please don't squeeze the Charmin" Nash to serve as protection for Glass in case he gets in over his head..

"Ranger goal scored by number 63.....Anthony Duuuuuuclaaairrrr!"

Nice. Lineups should look like this imo.

    Kreider-St.Louis-Zuccarello
    Duclair-Brassard-Nash
    Hagelin-Miller-Stempniak
    Glass-Moore-Fast

Unless they use St.Louis at RW

    Kreider-Brassard-St.Louis
    Duclair-Miller-Nash
    Hagelin-Hayes?-Zuccarello
    Glass-Moore-Fast/Stempniak

When Stepan returns, this will be a dangerous team.

    Duclair-Stepan-Nash
    Kreider-Brassard-St.Louis
    Hagelin-Miller-Zuccarello
    Malone-Moore-Stempniak.

    Sick

I would too, but I think Glass will be in the lineup for his hitting and punching ability.

His skating and defensive positioning both looked improved during the preseason. I think he'll take over for Klein after the season as the #3RHD.

This is my vote for last season's "Goal of the Year" award...

The Rangers skate into this season in an unusual position - They have some legitimate trade-bait in both Staal and Talbot with which they can easily address the void they have in the center position. They should be able to get a stud center with that much talent packaged together.

Good idea, Talbot will want to start next year and Staal maybe asking for too much
