Considering this draft is not one of very good QB talent, would you be against going after Sam Bradford in the offseason? He might be the best option we have until we groom another young draft pick.

To get Bradford which is like having Chad 2.0, we would have to give a 2-4 year contract and probably guaranteed. That doesn't thrill me, but would be better than what we have now. Problem is we would need a good #2 for when he gets hurt.

I've always liked Bradford, but he can't stay healthy.

Could be great competition for Geno paired with a rookie QB like a Cook or Hogan.

Sure, bring him in. Why not? We need all the help at QB we can get.

But regardless of whether they brought him in or not I still think we should be looking to draft a QB if a guy like Mariota is available when we pick.

With the immortal David Lee as his Qb coach, Bradford would be doing himself no favors by signing with us. Just look at Lee's track record here. Not very impressive at all.

Bradford is a quality player. If he could stay healthy he's the type of guy who could be a steal for a team.

I'd be very interested in him if the Rams do indeed decide to move on.

Arm strength outside the dome and durability are serious concerns for Bradford but the one thing he never really got in St Louis was a stable OLine. We need to shore up the guard positions in the offseason to keep him upright if the Jets consider signing him.

I am all for getting Bradford and drafting a QB and letting the rookie sit and learn for 2 years while Bradford plays with Smith backing him up. But the problem is the OL. Bradford will not last long with this OL. But I truly wonder if the problem goes beyond the OL and to MM. In 2 years now we have not learned how to pick up blitzes and just leave our QB on an island unprotected. Yes the QB needs to step up and make plays against blitzes. But when the QBs confidence erodes from getting killed by blitzes the OC needs to find a way to protect him. Which MM never did in Philly and is not doing in NY. You want a confident QB you need to protect him. You want a QB that plays afraid and develops happy feet then keep doing what we are doing. What that means is not only an upgrade over Winters but better blitz pick up and using more max protect plays. Or for this year using Smith's legs which we have completely not used unlike last year when his running the last 4 games opened up the run game and slowed he pass rush.

I think its a great idea - unlike Chad, he doesn't keep hurting his shoulder. He is still young enough where if he can stay healthy, he can be a franchise qb for 10 years.

He's injured a lot. We'd need a second starting QB. He's a FA in 2016 so I don't really see why anyone would play ball on a trade for his remaining contract.

His salary would be near $12 million, but we'd potentially have a franchise qb

Injured the same spot twice… thats a huge red flag.

hes not awful, but thats just… its not just getting dinged up few times, its something we'd have to watch extra carefully, something that might make him a different QB than a while ago.

thats a huge risk, even if he's just a QB2, and its an ever HUGER risk if he's QB1 at the behest of Smith (who isn't going anywhere even if his poor play continues)

the pay doesn't even matter, its all about that knee...

    Agree completely.

At this point, I could give a shit about the cost and so should Idzik. This franchise is in desperate need of a QB. This shit needs to stop
